I finally managed to finish this piece after writing on and off for a year! (unfortunately, I'm quite busy with other things, so it's been difficult to find time for hobbies). It's written for string orchestra (violins I and II, violas and cellos) and has three movements:
00:00 I. Larghetto e pesante
04:25 II. Largo e implorante
08:04 III. Scherzo: Prestissimo
There's not an exact "programme" to the piece, but I did set out with the goal of depicting a journey from turmoil to joy (a bit cliche, I know), with each movement marking a point on that trajectory.
