This conception of what a brass ensemble should be is wonderful. First of all, the music and the musicality, which conceals the amazing virtuosity of the performers with a great impression of ease. In other famous brass ensembles it's the other way around: almost pornographic technical feats where only one absent element is missed: the music. But the brass of the Concertgebouw orchestra possess the same refinement and delicacy as the strings of the Concertgebouw orchestra.

Crisp and AWE inspiring due to such good articulation and entries. Balance is spot-on... in which all voices share with their own unique contribution, whereby making the performance a MASTERPIECE.

Delightful! Platée is an opera in a prologue and three acts which premiered at festivities for a royal wedding at Versailles in 1745. Rameau is also remembered today for his 1722 Treatise on Harmony which was fundamental to Western music theory.

Esta concepción de lo que debe ser un conjunto de metales es maravillosa. Ante todo, la música y la musicalidad, que encubre el virtuosismo asombroso de los intérpretes con una gran impresión de facilidad. En otros conjuntos célebres de metales es al revés: unas proezas técnicas casi pornográficas donde solo se echa de menos a una ausente, la música. Pero los metales de la orquesta del Concertgebouw poseen el mismo refinamiento y la misma delicadeza que la cuerda de la orquesta del Contcergebouw

This is my "go to" track on RU-vid at the moment - I've bought the music so my brass ensemble #montpellierbrassensemble can have a go - my wife (who's heard a few good trumpet players in the past [Wynton Marsalis, Mark Bennett and recordings of everyone]) tells me there is no way we can play this! You guys are AWESOME. When are you playing over the next 6 months: we might be able to travel to Amsterdam to hear you.

One French horn, and 2 tubas. Wow!! But I what I noticed is that the trumpets are not all shiny. My husband has an old Bach - loves the sound. It's a little beat up. He plays in and manages a brass quintet (they are pretty good ....) but he won't use the Bach because of the way it looks. I've told him he's nuts and have just asked him to watch this video. Magnificent sound! Awesome musicality. Such a pleasure to listen to! And, who cares if the instruments are not perfectly shiny silver?? Thank you for being the good example!
