Sometimes we forget how important prayer is. In prayer, the king of kings and lord of lords is there to give you a special audience. It's a blessing that we're allowed to pray. And prayer is very effective.

Paul says that we need to pray always. But then Paul says, persevere in prayer. In prayer, when God is the goal, it's to get to know God. Pray for the saints and pray for me so that the gospel can expand.

In Matthew, chapter eight, a centurion came to Jesus with a paralyzed servant. Jesus said, only speak a word and my servant will be healed. As we prepare for communion, the question always comes back, who are we putting our faith in?

Every time that we eat of this, we recognize that Jesus paid the price
