I can't believe this entitled b*tch! After everything Harvey did for her? He just saved her entire life my saving her a$$ in court. And i don't accept the fact that it's because she wanted him to love him. I mean where's that Donna that educated Rachel about moving on from one night with her boss(Harvey) and still managed to work with him for 7 years with love and loyalty? That makes her a hypocrite as well. I blame Donna 100% on this, Harvey does not deserve this.

​@@mar__kHarvey did for her in court what he does for any client, that is WIN. Yet he treated her horribly because he told her he loved her and then humiliated and rejected her after she opened up and showed her feelings for him. I think this made her realize that her relationship with Harvey does not offer her any professional or personal perspective. She realized that she is codependent on him, and in order to heal and at least save their friendship, she must detach herself from him, get out from under his power of influence.

Harvey didn't "opened up" anything, their love was already out in the blue. She is at fault because she for once said that she managed to have a lovely friendship with him and not letting just one night 7 years ago affect them but then she does this to him? I mean cmon.

​@@mar__kThere was nothing clear about their love even for us viewers who had an overview of the characters. Darvey came about because of their beauty, perfect fit and amazing chemistry. There were playful banter between them, flirting, but the first romantic scene was the one with "you know I love you Donna". Harvey never let it be known that he had feelings for Donna. after "another time" he tells her: "If I knew you were going to work with me, I would never have come to you" meaning he was only interested in her professionally. That's why Donna froze when she saw his look and heard the statement "you know I love you Donna". When she confronted him, "How you love me," Harvey pulled back and told her it was out of pity. She opened up and showed him that she wanted a relationship with him when she told him "you don't want to risk anything..." and in the next scene he rejects her: "You are one of the most amazing women....and only because I DON'T..."

@@zizzi1227 Everything was clear for me. I've always knew that they love each other since S1. You could see all the times Donna backed Harvey and Harvey backed her. Even other characters didn't want to mess with them because they knew that their bond was strong. They always cared for each other and the "you know i love you Donna" was not romantic at all, if you remember that scene then you remember that they were about to kiss or something and then Harvey preferred to leave and say "you know i love you Donna" after him making an obvious face to her stating clearly that they both know that Harvey is not that good with romantic relationships and him saying that Tells Donna that he doesn't want to hurt her because he loves her.

Or fortunately. I loved that Donna chose herself after 12 years, that she finally stood up for herself and saw the writing on the wall. She finally woke up and found the courage to walk away from him. She had been codependent and unhealthily attached to him for far too long. Her unrequited feelings and being loyal to the point of danger and selflessness to the point of being invisible and being taken for granted- it was all too much and pathetic. Harvey was to some extent selfish and insensitive to her. And this was one of my favourite points in the series. Donna finally waking up and finding the courage to walk away from him. I absolutely loved it. All I could think was "About damn time" and that Harvey kinda deserved it.

But Louis was her dear friend too and at that moment he needed her. I was actually glad she realized her world doesn't revolve around Harvey. She chose to help her friend but that was not to spite Harvey. Harvey struggles to respect Louis, that's his problem.... Not Donna's. She loves her friends, loves her place of work and Harvey's issues shouldn't cost her to leave them.

This was the most rubbish scenes. Harvey pays for Donna, he saved her from jail. She’s the ungrateful b**ch who decides to leave him. I wish she went to jail that time

I think it is because he said "I love you, Donna" at the end of the previous episode (4.15). During 4.16, she asked him to acknowledge what he said but he was avoiding the subject and basically told her it didn´t mean anything. That´s why she decided to leave him and I guess she just wanted to make him feel the same way.

Or it could be that she said to Rachel that she could never be with Harvey because it was too complicated, but if she no longer works for him she is able to confess her love.

I don't really think it's weird that she said that to him. I think she was trying to just soften the blow since Harvey has abandonment issues.

She left him because if you recall the end of the previous episode, after saving her from going to jail, he finally confesses to her he loves her. The scene in her apartment which was a beautiful scene. Donna was in shock but then the next day he turns around and says he said it to make her feel good. This took her over the edge. She always loved him. Even though she denied it to herself at times like he did. For him to confess and then take it back, she couldn’t take it anymore, it didn’t work for her anymore. Her feelings were now in front of her and now she knows how he feels. Harvey despite saying he loves her, his issues with commitment, trust, not being weak for caring was the epitome. This was my take at least. 😊

The fact that he saves her from prison does not give him the right to play with her feelings, humiliate and degrade her. Professionally, he did for her what he would do for any client. Would fight and win.

No, she did that to sooth the blow of her leaving him, that doesn't mean she was abandoning him. She was actually professional and kind.

In Europe for the most part you have cancellation periods (mostly 1-3 months) where you cannot just quit and start a new job on Monday - gotta wait a couple of weeks. Maybe thatvis what he's talking about. And about Donna going to Louis. Internal switches should not be that difficult to pull off.

Because Donna was in love with Harvey all along, and thought he didn't love her back, but after he saved her he told her he loved her and then left and refused to talk about it. Harvey loved her back romantically the whole time and he knew it, but he wouldn't claim her because he was too scared. Instead of living in that emotional limbo, Donna chose to separate herself from him because being so close to someone who loves you and won't be with you is hellish. It's not that hard to understand, and it's not a gender issue either: no man would want to torment himself by working endlessly for a woman who mutually loved him and refused to do anything about it.

Harvey was only able to be her ruthless protector, but Donna needed to be treated with fondness and warmth by the man she loved... his demanding, stern, and severe nature left her in a life of loneliness and low self esteem.

It’s not women don’t make sense. As a woman, I absolutely HATED Donna character right after this scene till the end. He saved her, and she was an absolute B*TCH about it.

She wanted to be saved and then walked her ugly ass off like she does, to work for Louis. I seriously HATED her role in Suits

It was a moment of great courage for Donna. The fact that she was able to break away from her dependency with Harvey. And remember that she gave him the formal notice, she wanted to help him hire a replacement, but he preferred to rip the band aid and banished her .

@@zizzi1227 that’s debatable, but the fact that Harvey IMMEDIATELY started having panic attacks after she left him should have been a red flag for her that she made the wrong choice.

@@superdennygumper7412 Donna didn't want to hurt Harvey and found out about the panic attacks late. She wanted to protect herself because she realized they were in a toxic relationship. But although it caused a lot of suffering, it was the best thing to them. For Harvey it was the trigger that led him to deal with his mental health issues: the fear of commitment, the emotional unavailability, the fear of abandonment. I think it was the beginning of the road in the development of his character.

She was cold, f*cking know it all, selfish post this scene. And everyone says she s a glue to keeping the firm together, when she mostly was a liability that caused so many problems. Also, she doesn’t possess the skills or degrees required for the posts she works for. That has also been mentioned several times in the show

First there was the accusation of hiding evidence in Cameron's case, then she put her freedom at risk and destroyed evidence in CM's case to protect him. The way Harvey humiliated and rejected her after telling her he loved her made her realize the toxic codependent relationship she is in with Harvey. In order to heal, she had to detach herself from Harvey, escape from his domination and influence and live her own life. She left to heal and to save their friendship. The only one who questioned her promotion was Malik who attacked her integrity to get to Harvey and create false evidence. Her promotion was perfectly legal. The studies she had were sufficient and the writers created all the social skills for this position.
