I can definitely confirm that Salah has its physical benefits. Alhamdulillah, I am a Muslim revert. Before I started praying, I suffered from severe headaches regularly. They have completely gone away. I underwent knee surgery last year which kept me praying in a sitting position for many months; the headaches came back full force. Now, alhamdulillah, I am much better and I am able to go into sujood properly. The headaches are much better already.

But rukoo involves bending of lumbar spine---- and for a person with lumbar spine disc, ruku will be very bad---- that will exacerbate lumbar disc bulging disc---- ruku will aggravate disc bulging and can precipitate lumbar disc herniation.
