As an American, i can honestly say it is a nice looking plane! looks similar to the f22, just bigger. And it cant be as maneuverable as the Su-47. Forward swept owns all in maneuverability.

5 bucks says the heat signature from those engines is absolutely immense compared to the 22.

T-50 can be a 1990's plane, but USSR was demontage and it born only 20 years later.

This plane has a bigger radar signature than an F22

This plane is supposed to be equipped with 3D thrust vectoring. If the Russians really want to maximize the RCS, they should get rid of both the ruddervators and elevators. They should get rid of those lerx surfaces. That's a good way to blow-up your radar signiture. This will be some good eating eating for the Raptor! I see big changes comming for the production model.

This goes hand and hand with the production of the T-50 all came from the USA its only now that it's in this form.

No doubt, she's a beauty. Only time will tell if it can hold a candle to the F-22.

@DudemanClide i love the F-15 and for as long as it has served it is still compatible with a lot of fighter jets, but the PAK-FA is a different animal.

@palinsuxdix F-35 is definitely from Lockheed-Martin Skunkworks. Most of the tech used in the F-35 was originally developed to make the F-22. Thats the reason why the F-35 is dirt cheap, comparatively that is :D

@Killazer Maybe because the U.S. wanted a perfect jet? Sure it has it's drawbacks (ie cracking oxygen malfunctions) but that happens to every jet new to service. You can put any jet into testing but you really find out it's strengths and weaknesses while in service. Stuff happend to the F-15 upon release, but over the years, they were fixed. In fixing such problems, the F-15 turned out to be the greatest *jet* fighter in history. It just takes time.

Hey it's a YF-23. Russia's stolen nearly as many plane designs from us as they've made themselves. It's been happening since the B-29.

Now if only they can build more then 12 and keep it flying for more then 5 years...

@LolmanMr My friend no one can know really wich is best only if a war starts then we can now live combat wich is the most effective.I know that Raptor program was closed due to technical issues regarding stealth(the skin had some issues on bad weather like temperature and other harsh enviorements and too expensive to mantain).Fly one hour and mantainance 24 hours at least, imagine that on a battlefield.So it was put on hold.That is what i know.Personally i think both planes are very effective

@morningstartep Lol i dont see us having sleepless nights over a plane that russia cant really afford to produce many of and in terms of stealth is less than that of an F-22, not to mention with the engine exhaust outlets, would easily put it on thermal. While the F-22 was designed to also avoid thermal. the F-22 has a better radar. Sleepless? I would ask the russian pilot about that. Considering US pilots train daily and have actual combat time, more so currently than any country.

@gloup81 Yeah, there is a very small chance in me becoming a *Raptor* pilot. But there is still a chance. Just because I think I can be one, doesn't mean I can't. My father is in the Air Force which betters my chance in becoming a fighter pilot. I have to be super careful what I say on the internet... - the SU 35 is a nice Aircraft... This East/West Mindset blinds us to the truth... For many years the Soviet Style Aircraft designs where ... "OVERBUILT" "OVERPOWERED" Not nice or "FUN" planes to fly ! There is so much for the USA & RUSSIA to benefit from working together then cold war enemies... BUT HOW DO WE CHANGE THAT MINDSET FOR REAL ??? In action not just words... This is far to important for the direction the planet takes in the near future !!!
