Hürrem tries to change Mihrimah's mind about getting a divorce. Rüstem starts looking for who has written the letter having a jealousy attack. Things get even messier when Suleiman learns about it.
The golden years of the Ottoman Empire come to life in a television series. The life of Suleiman the Magnificent is preparing to be a guest in your homes in all its glory. Get ready to experience the era with ambition, loves, wars and all the struggle.
Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. I don't think people understand what year it was, Mihrimah was born 1522, it was a time where women didn't even work, there wasn't a lot for them to do. Women were born just to give birth, and even if you fought your place like Hürrem, there was a price to pay. Women on the throne weren't as popular as men, that was the reality. Now if Rustem hit her, that be a different story, he died later on

Mihrimah never loved her husband. She tolerated him. This was especially sad, since she knew that love marriages could exist between the Royals because of her parents. She was supposed to forget and live out her existence unhappy, unfulfilled. Tragic. At least she had her children they were her world.

This is so wrong: "I sometimes hurt you, but this is my nature, I can't do anything about it, and if I did, I wouldn't be myself anymore." NO. We don't HAVE to do bad things that hurt ourselves and the ones we love. We CAN change for the better without losing our identity and true personality. It takes a long arduous journey, but we CAN. And what greater motive to do this than the ones we truly love? Hurrem's speech is the typical reasoning of an emotional abuser

@@DimSK.- just because both sides do it doesn't justify it. Hurrem and Mihrimah claim they love and are absolutely loyal to Suleiman but consistently hide things from him and plot behind his back - even killing his son at the hands of his own father forcing Suleiman to live with that pain forever.

Why is everyone acting as if Hurrem and Suleiman are protecting Mirihmas Husband? That's so oversimplified it hurts to read your comments. Hurrem is protecting her children from their enemies, and Suleiman is restricted in his decision by the content of his knowledge. He clearly tells his daughter "give me a valid reason and so be it" but she can't, so he is advising her as a father.. What do y'all do when you're having a low in your relationship? Just quit? Regardless, Modihavoran (spelling) in the show is a complete loser. She blabs intent revealing plots, just to feel good while relying on others to do what she can’t. I am only on 100 right now but she plots murder too to protect her son soI put both women in the same category. Come to think of it, when confronted with real violence all Hurrem’s big words about how she would do this or that evaporate (in the show), and she cowers in fear when directly confronted by threats. so, no not here, I don’t like either of them so far. IMHO Sullieman rocks, he is just clueless as everyone lies to him and believes the poisonous lies dripping from Hurrems lips almost every time she talks with him.

What show are you watching, bwahahahahahah! Hurrem never forced Mihrimah to marry, she OFFERED her! Then asked Bali Bay if he truly loved her daughter! Bali Bay said no! After Mihrimah heard this she decided to marry Rustem! And BOTH Suleiman and Hurrem agreed with Mihrimah! They never forced her anything. They are best parents who love their children the most you🤡🤡

You should not Look at this in this way. Dont remember that Rustem was a very important Person for Hurrem. He protected her and her soons. IT was a gamę for life. She lost one soon and she could lost other. In European counties marriages were political contracts. IT was normal in those days too. Suleyman didnt know earlier that Mihrimah doesnt love Rustem so maybe he tought they simply have worse time

Tried to kill the princess. All because what tonoreotect her children, maybe is some weird way Partly, but also she would lose his ear and then her powe that is why she wanted a prince in the first place, to level up! She accuses everyone of lies, traps and slanders and she is the biggest of them all! So protect her children, from her! Mustangs made it clear he loved his brothers and fratracide wasn’t going to happen. Burned problems stem from her own antics. If she would just chill life would be good form the start. Regardless, historically Sullieman represented the height of the empire, the sultanate of women reduced princes to babies hidden in rooms untill it was time to rule and they had no clue so mommy was the regent had the power. In reality, Hurem set in motion the downfall of the empire. Selim was not a very astute sultan. Mustafa would have been the best one since he had great leadership, a huge following but was very arrogant as not shown in this series… yet. Hurrem’s oldest died anyway. I will say again, fear does not justify murder now and then according to their laws. Problem with this show, even though I enjoy it, it has the characters personalities all backwards. The second Hurrem in my opinion is more realistic, the first one comes off as a shrill vindictive megalomaniac. Maybe that’s why I don’t follow the “ she is a good mommy” line.

Yes, Mihirimah may hate Rustem a lot, and she only tolerates him. And most of the majority of people don't want their relationship to exist. But the thing is, only everyone is seeing the fact Rustem is a old creepy guy whatever you call him. Nobody even praises or talks about his love for mirihmah, Rustem loves Mihirimah blindly and deeply. He's always loyal, he always liked herm he was ready to kill himself for her (on the night of marriage). And yet he's not appreciated. He exactly loves mirihmah like how hurrem loves suleiman. Why isn't anyone fair to him? Relationship needs understanding each other too, maybe mirihman should understand and just think about his love to her too. Also I'm not blaming or saying it's anybodys fault in the relationship, its just a explanation.

You have a point, but it is probably due to the age gap (even though it was normal in that time), everyone felt sad for Mihrimah (as she didn't want him). Plus, my personal opinion, why would he love someone he saw since she was a child? Creepy!

Mirhimah agreed to marry Rustem- once she realised that Bali Bey was never going to marry her- no forcing was involved- she went and gave her consent herself to her father in the show. Rustem up to this point has always treated her well- she is the one who has never even tried to be a wife to him- and treated him continously with contempt- even though at this point- Rustem went above and beyond to protect her, her mother and brothers. So she needs a good reality check if anything - she is privileged above all others- her mother fought tooth and nail to be where she is- despite her roots of being a slave. Her daughter is throwing her future away on a whim - because she did not suffer and was granted all her luxuries by the birthright won for her through the toil and sufferings of others. So no- I love Mirhimah - but she is behaving like a child here.

I understand what you're saying, but she didn't love him. You can't force feelings/force someone to feel something for someone. Yes she married him when she realized Bali Bey wasn't an option, but she should've had the right to divorce Rustem when the time came. She deserves love too--though if my family's life (brothers) were on the line, personally, I would just accept my fate

I wish he stood with mahidevran sultan instead of throwing her away when things were difficult between them. He should have take his own advice that he gave mirimah when dealing with mahidevran sultan. She belonged with him and so did şehzade mustafa. They were a family before that russian witch came along to destroy everything around her.
