The sulky in action can be forwarded to 5:43 . Thanks for watching! Be sure to check out my video on how I turned my Exmark 21" Commercial mower into a Twin Bladed Mower!
Thanks for posting! Looked at one of these yesterday for my Exmark walk behind. I've never seen one in action but after your video, I think I will pick one up pretty soon.
Love those lescos. Had a 36 in exactly like that when I was just starting out. Got rid of it as we grew, but swore to myself I'd buy another in a second given the chance . Great vid, very informative
Thanks, I had that Lesco forever. Still have it, but going to get rid of it....I don't need it anymore. Well, I am thinking about turning it into a wheelbarrow I use all Scags now.
If you are wearing that mask at 11:30 to protect you from dust, those are organic filters and only protect you from fumes. You have to buy the big round dust filters. Great review by the way!
Thanks for the comment. Yes, I am using it for the fumes. The respirator also has an external pre-filter of cotton filter for the dust. The internal is charcoal. In this business, it's brutal for our health. Even stripping the clothes off at the end of the day is full of fumes.
Hello :) I hate a nasty grease gun :) I keep mine wrapped in a old towel ! I put it down on a clean spot Unwrap it then use it , put it back on the towel and wrap it back up ! I never ever just lay it on the ground ! It will pick up grit ! I of course wipe all the zerks clean with paper towels first !
Yes, I agree. Grease is a dust magnet. I usually squeeze out some of the grease before pumping it in the bearings. Also clean the zerks too. Thanks for checking out the video.
I have a 36 Walk Behind and want to add a sulky. I'm just concerned if on Hills, the front end will lift up without extra weight added to the front. What is your experience?
A pin system would have been nice. The wright velky has a pin system the girls can lift the velky a lot lighter. But I think they have got use to just using the other mowers when they need to. But I do like the way this one works. Your not swinging all over the place your right behind the mower. I did order a flat free tire I want to see how they stand up.
I have flat free on my other one. It's nice to not deal with flats. The ride isn't as cushion as air filled tires but beats dealing with flats . I tried the solid rubber and also foam mix rubber which seems to be somewhat softer ride compared to the solid rubber.
No I have girls who do the yards and the wheels need to be lifted and turned a bit to get through the gate. They no longer use this mower because the wheels are to heavy. Plus its very hard to work the springs to unlock it from the mower. Its not like it weights 15 pounds I think its like 65pounds. I like using the mower with it but I dont even take it apart. I have pinched the wheels one time and it let all the air out of the tire. Im sure even slime would not have helped that. I just had to fill it back up no big deal.
John Bailey I know what you mean getting it off and on. I almost cut the springs on the 2nd model to make it easier to compress This 3rd model they did use softer springs but still can be tough. I understand they don't want it coming apart as one is driving it. Wonder if there's any room to still lighten the springs or maybe a pin system without springs in the future. ..
The manufactor says it's for ZTR. I think they are saying this is a good choice for ZTR because the wheels can spin in a 360 rotation swivel. I can't be sure, but I don't see why it couldn't be used as well.
The biggest down fall is there too heavy for the girls to lift if they need to. They just don't lift it anymore they hurt there wrist too many times. And like you said the springs make it very hard to take off and put back on.
John Bailey there's definitely some metal on this thing. Are you referring to some of the guys , lol. I've had some guy whiners and actually had a female help out before too. Thanks for watching!
I'm not sure on the hydroglide but I have them on my Scags SWZ hydros. The brackets are pretty much universal. May just have to drill some holes in the mower deck .
