When she brought up traumatic event, I immediately thought of her comments on the Kesha and Brock Turner situations.... like, damn... pot calling the kettle black
I do have a gripe about the portrayal of the NTSB investigators as too antagonistic. I've seen plenty of episodes from a TV series called Mayday, or Air Crash Investigation which many of its episodes are on RU-vid, where they investigate many different air disasters and pilot error happen much more often then we like to think and they did covered the Miracle on the Hudson in one of their episode. The job of an air crash investigator is to look at every angle of an incident and figure out not just what exactly happened, but to know what could have happen through different scenarios and what can be done to make sure it doesn't happen again. It feels like the investigators in the film have no idea what they are doing and do not take into other considerations until the very last minute when they are convinced through hard evidence. There was a part at the end of the film where they reveal a piece of strong evidence that they withheld that help Sully's case that I felt unneeded in trying to create tension that felt fake. But, other then that, I think this is a fine movie. Nothing special, but not bad.
That inverted plane thing with Denzel did happen in real life. Alaska Airlines Flight 261. Same problem as the film depicts, even. Only difference is, in real life, that plane ended up plunging nose-first into the Atlantic.
What was interesting in the review was how much Danielle loved the film and how divergent her opinion was from Cory G. They both seem to be around the same age. I wonder if women her age in general feel the way she felt. And I wonder if men around Cory G. age generally feel the way he felt? What this also tells me is that if you are a filmmaker, you should have someone of another sex (male or female) have input so that the film can appeal to both men and women.
I really enjoy the configuration of the Movie Review gentlemen. I wish they could get a woman that can hold her own around the guys. I know she exists! I don't know if maybe they tell Danielle to "dumb it down" but I would just love to see a shit talking lady that can crack a joke with the guys. Danielle did do a good job today though. But either way, I enjoy the guys connection. I always leave having a laugh.
Oh no Corey Goodwin found a tiny flaw: SOME OL' BULLSHIT I feel he only highlights this crap becuase he feels he needs to have some criticism. I also feel that if the other reviewers give their rating first, his goes up considerably.
omg someone with their own opinion on how this movie is. I love corey for his different views, we don't need a trio of yes men saying the same thing about the movie
I don't mind people not liking it, it's just his reasons for a HUGE drop in rating is usually hilariously tiny. He does it alot. Like in Capt America Civil War he dropped it to a matinee because they discussed the sokovian accords more than once.
Krontok his opinion and some small things to you might be huge for someone else. its like american sniper, what killed the movie for me was the baby scene. other people might be something else even an ending would tick ppl off.
Not gonna lie, I do love him on the reviews and the podcasts but he really does come out of left field with his harsh criticisms and giving an unpredictable rating that doesn't reflect the tone of his whole review. Me thinks he just has a hard time articulating his point. It doesn't bother me a whole lot but there's always room for improvement.
kinda glad Danielle came in. I love Korey G.'s input nevertheless, but idk the plane flashback critique seemed a little petty or at least challenged in a discussion-kinda way. Don't see what was wrong with her??
Did you guys know the water scenes were shot where I Fish ? Castaic Lagoon !! Huge Green screen and Barges were Built. They had 4 Sea Doo Water Crafts creating the Wakes. Just thought you'd like to know !

Was is just me, or when the picture of Clint Eastwood showed up, it seemed to have " Cunt " written on the back ground ( and yes. i know it was Clint but it looks like Cunt )
The thing about Tom Hanks is he likes making movies with Captains that made the news. I just can't watch this films. Probably more dramatic than the real stories tend to be.
Yeah but take away the fact that it happened in real life and its just any other movie with scenes that would probably not go down the same way in real life.
I thin she added a lot to this review. the Korey's were treating it like the flashbacks were the same exact scene over and over again. I just saw this movie and every flashback seems necessary. Although I walked in at the end of the very first flashback that began the movie.
