Because it is BS. France was an empire, with a much higher status than the poor Ottoman Empire which was in decline already after Suleiman's death. They lead the French ambassador like a prisoner, which is obvious BS 😀 France was the no. 1 power (maybe together with Britain) for many centuries.
Ottomans never had a chance against one separated Italy (in 4+ kingdoms), imagine if Italy was united that time. Meanwhile Sultan Mehmed Fatih (who took Constandinoplije) failed twice to conquer my homeland Albania in 1440/1460. Ottomans never treated Albania as we deserved, meanwhile we gave them 29 grand viziers (more than any other nation), but they were strong in Asia/Africa. Kudos.
