On the Magnificent Century, the heat is on!
Hurrem is expelled from the palace!
Suleiman catches Selim blind drunk. Hurrem orders Nurbanu to kill Nazenin. Bayezid makes his decision about Huricihan. Hürrem starts applying her plan that will cause Mustafa and Suleiman become enemies. Meanwhile, Mustafa gets shocked because of the gift from Suleiman.
Suleiman goes back to the capital and expels Hürrem from the palace. Mustafa gets disappointed and makes a decision that will change the destiny of the royal family.
An unpleasant surprise awaits Suleiman in Manisa. Suleiman catches Selim drunk and gets furious. While Selim tries to get right with Suleiman, Suleiman remembers Ibrahim and the days he was a prince in Manisa.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

This is the one thing selim did right!! Apologizing immediately to the Sultan. that his brothers mustafa and bayezid didn’t do! They were filled with arrogance and stubbornness.

He knew how to work his father the best. That's how the drunkard became the sultan. The others were themselves and didn't manipulate their father the way Selim did.

Poor Suleiman can't have a single day without stress. Rarely all day went good then you have your favorite concubine dead at night. What a chaotic life to lead!

Manisha is a different place for both Suleiman and Mahidevran. Each of them have lots of good, radiant, peaceful and innocent memories of life when they were young. Suleiman indeed regretted Ibrahim's execution cause no matter what he did, how arrogant some of his works were deep down it's shown Ibrahim being loyal to Suleiman. As he'd been in distress whenever Suleiman got ill. But Ibrahim broke the limits to the extent where Hurrem could easy manipulate Suleiman that he's after his Throne. I loved this part, it's shows Suleiman's not losing feelings about anyone he ever loved. Lile the time when he was in deathbed. I think according to series, how it showed hallucinating Suleiman, Ibrahim and other things he did like not revealing Ibrahim's grave etc highly gives a view that Suleiman regretted about Ibrahim the most. To this point it's really tearful that Suleiman is all alone and he's best friend isn't there. Life indeed is unpredictable.

That's who your dear son, Selim is, Suleiman. And yet for some reason you and Hurrem thought that he'd make a great candidate for the throne. Then again, I guess that he's the safest option since he's so good at stroking other people's ego and appear harmless 🙄🙄

Honestly, I reckon Suleiman was the last of the great Sultans of the Ottoman Empire. Of course, there may have been a few saving graces here and there, who came in the form of Sultan Abdul Hamid, Murad IV, and a few others, but it was too little too late. After Selim's lackluster rule and during said rule, the people in his court and military must have begun seeing ways to achieve wealth and power in the Ottoman government through alliances with harem women, as well as due to Selim's negligence towards political, military, and economic affairs in favor of his days and nights of drinking, dancing, painting, and debauchery. It's just so sad that they lived like that, seeing how they treated each other, their own families, but what can you do? Frankly, it's most likely for the best that the age of empires and kings are over, although you can never truly do away with tyranny because there are people out there who are always desperate for the smallest amount of power.

Hurrem feared what Bayezid would do with power. Selim was the safest choice for everyone

Yeah, and I'll bet every coward and tyrant throughout history has used the same old excuse. Also, I'd bet you my life savings that's the same reason Selim told himself at night when he had not only Bayezid, but his four young sons strangled as well.

Do you people really comment on this show without even watching it? Hürrem very explicitly wanted Bayezid to take the throne. When she died, she made Rustem swear that he will protect Bayezid to his last breath. Not Selim. The only reason she wanted Selim in Manisa is because Bayezid was still incredibly hot headed and disobedient, but her plan was always that Bayezid should be on the throne

@@somerandomnon-importantper3219 well nobody bothered to tell Bayazid that. And let's be honest it's not like Selim would have backed down even if Hurrem wanted to. What makes you think that he would?

He is lecturing Selim, as he was perfect himself... Such a double standard 😂 Didn't sultan feel that himself when he slept with many women and enjoyed drinking or while slaying his own son, making brothers war against each other or when Hurrem puppeteers him according to her will...
@Zzzzzzz__z15
@Zzzzzzz__z15 2 месяца назад
Lol he was lecturing selim bcz consuming alcohol is a sin and was prohibited to sell and drink..and selim as a crown prince himself is indulged in doing so! Suleiman didn’t commit any sin..all those you mentioned that he did was justified on his place as a ruler..you can see history, selim is called the drunk sultan whereas suleiman was the greatest and the most Just sultan of Ottoman Empire.

If Hurrem married another man, she will have less stress and not die young.

That's true but you can't choose whom you fall in love with. Hurrem fell in love with Suleiman. Once she saw him, her heart was lost. She chose to put up with anything and everything to be with him.

Only thing that selim did right and that was the only thing that led him to the throne was his absolute loyalty and obidience towards suleiman, he committed a mistake and immediately apologized and sought forgiveness from Suleiman While Mustafa never sought forgiveness he thought he was right
