@@user-mm8ei9nx4oirl he was actually set to take the throne. Sulieman moved Mustafa from Manisa to Amasya and gave it to Mehmet. Even in Sulieman’s Eulogy to Mehmet he addressed him as Sultan Mehmet. Sulieman had always intended for Mehmet to take his throne, it was confirmed by his council members as well

What I could never understand about this empire is that they want Son's. But when one son becomes Sultan,he have to kill his brothers. So whats the point,also Mustafa loved his brothers but if he became Sultan,Hurrem sons would have died because of Mahid grudge against Hurrem. I think if Mhmed became Sultan,I dont think Mehmed would allow Mustafa to be hurt. Because Hurrem really only wanted Suliman to Sultan

Biggest mistake was that mahidevran killed mehmed. Mehmed would have been alive, he would have supported mustafa.

Not really. Mehmet was really agreeable. Also hurrem was attacking mustafa non stop poisoning, killing efsun n his child, making him lose manisa. Mahidevran just tried to buy more time n spoil hurrems plans

@@aysunucar3746 and in real life there was also no evidence of a conspiracy behind Mustafa's betrayal, but in the series they made it look like that. Irl Mustafa wasn't that close with his siblings, and he wasn't close with Cihangir. Cihangir died because of a chronic illness he had since birth, not because of sadness. So yeah, the series here is fiction inspired by real history events.

Mustafa: * does something major and stupid without permission in his province * Mahidevran, Hatice, Shah, Gulfem, Beyhan, Fatma, Ibrahim, Nigar: it's Hurrem's fault! Get a grip. All of them together don't have enough intellect and cleverness to match her. Maybe only Ibrahim, but eventually he did drown in his own ego, narcissism, and greediness.

Go learn the proper history of why Hurrem is one of the best women and sultanas to exist instead of watching short videos and making ridiculous assumptions. Fyi, she lived a happy life with her loyal and powerful husband (unlike what he's portrayed in the show), and she died peacefully in the arms of her lover.
