Great review. I am currently reading the book and just finshed the Guru chapter. Its really amazing how passionate IK was for cricket and nurturing the talent. One fails to understand where have all his strengths gone when it comes to politics.

1982 to 1992 Pakistan imran Khan captancey grat era

Dude he will never admit he use to match fix. I believe he didn’t do match fixing in quarter final against India, neither they fixed 99 final. However I use to play high level cricket and I could see the games he would have fixed without relying on outside news. Now memory is not that sharp but I remember the games where pak scored around 220/230 scores, Wasim would open bowling defending mediocre total and bowl all 6 bowls wide of off, sets batsman eye, maiden over for Wasim and bastamen will smash the next bowler. Right from the first over you could know what Wasim is doing. In the end Pak lost the game and Wasim bowling figures were economical. Other time was pak was 0 for 3 , then imzimam hit century, I think we came too close to win, only 60 odd needed on 60 bowls or so, batsman got out and it was Azhar mehmood turn as a regular spot and finisher, but Wasim came instead as he was the captain, I knew something is wrong and he faced 21 bowls for 4 runs, and got out run rate required went 11+, azhar mehmood came and tried his best. We lost the game for 6 runs I guess. Watching live you can know what’s happening specially if you play at a good level, stats don’t tell the story

This sentense shocked for me that legendary Javaid Miandad was not good coach but reality is different in his time of coaching team was shinning but whenever teams level up something happend and Sir javaid was removed from the coaching position thats is the reality
