Fatma's mistake was thinking she was smarter than Hurrem. After the death of her husband she should've just gone somewhere else. Instead she chose to keep sticking her nose into everything and kept causing trouble. Of all of Suleiman's sisters I like her least.
Fatma wanted to take a revange for poor Mustafa as Hürrem is fault for his death. Unfortunatelly, Hürrem was such a snake that even Fatma couldn't beat her
Of the sisters I just got so frustrated with Hatiche, I was like please wake up you two should have been best of friends. I always felt like hurrem loved her and to be a family but had to fight back all the time against pretty insane stuff from so many characters and hatiche just couldn't see truth in front of her ever.
I never understood why they were so mad at Hurrem over Mustafa and not mad at Mihdervan for sending that girl to infect Mehmet with small pox. It's like whatever was done to Hürrem's kids was ok with Sulyman's sisters and mother. That's why Hurrem fought so hard against them.
@@crystallofton5809 well, because in real life, judging by historians,.not by drama through TV, Mahidevran didn't kill Mehmet and didn't have any hand in thaf. Mehmet died because of plague and Mahidevran, by real history, wasn't the one who is guilty,.while Hürrem, like historians proved, slandered about Mustafa, what caused the doubts for Suleiman and Hürrem more or less is responsible for Mustafa's death. It's why everyone is mad at Hürrem
Эта Нурбану перегибает палку. Уже строит из себя госпожу, даже с Хуриджихан ведёт себя неподобающе. Забыла своё место. То что Селим был объявлен наследником, не даёт ей право вести себя непозволительно.
They aren't naive, but i believe that Hurrem could prevent the fight between Bayezid and Selim. My conclusion that why Hurrem wants to support Bayezid bcos Bayezid is more capable than Selim, and other hand Selim is not capable but he is more submissive toward her and therefore she can't prevent the war between the brothers.
@@forexed8948probably She didn't want to live enough Time to see her childrens killed themselves . It was too much i think for her to support this . Before She was slave ,next a concubine ,next a wife and à valid sultan .See her own childrens liké that. How Can a person could support that .Just heartattack . She was Christian orthodox before and as a Christian WE don't kill our family members .
I think Fatma's biggest mistake was teaming up with Nurbanu to some level. Fatma brought back Hurrichan in order to make Hurrem uneasy considering who her parents are, and helped her fall in love with one of Hurrem's sons. Yet she leaves her sisters daughter to fend for self after Hurrichan successfully wins Beyazid's heart. I understand Fatma is trying to turn Hurrem's sons against each other, but you would think she would support Bayezid over Selim since her niece married him. But no she shows more attention to Nurbanu. I think if she continued to guide and protect Hurrichan as a good aunt should of done, Hurrichan never would of been killed.
These Suleman's sisters should have been happy with their own families instead they kept poking nose in Suleman n hurrem's life Why should they care who will become the Sultana after all princes should be equal in their eyes n they should have been nutrel
@@ChrisBergernson-oe9zy dynasty members were entitled to get proper monthly expenses slaves jewelleries clothes food etc everything accordingly to their relation with the sultan there were proper rules for that
Because Hurrem actually has the guts to stand up for what she wants to do and say. Hurrem is also intelligent. I remember Valide said Hurrem thinks with her own head, not other people's like Mahidevran. That's why they hate Hurrem so much.
Its for drama. In history obly fatma sultan was against hurrem. Then again in history hurrem was a kind woman and not a crazy mad woman like in the show
Hurrem is adamant to keep on turning a blind eye to things she doesn't want to see. She refuses to see her son Selim as a lying coward who is determined to eliminate his biggest (and only) rival for the throne. Sorry, Hurrem, but I am siding with Mirimah on this one.
@@katarinasvensson9801 now that Nurbanu has goaded him enough, Selim wants the throne on his own. So at this point, even if Nurbanu is out of the picture, Selim can operate on his own. You need to defang them both
@@ΧΡΗΣΤΟΣΑΜΑΝΑΤΙΔΗΣ-β7μ just childish behavior he never thought of killing him before she came along. Bayzeed had his faults too they was both good but their dad should have spend more time with them instead of chasing around concured other countries
Selim didn't like war. He didn't like killing. He tricked Bayezid in an archery thing once as a child. Of course, Bayezid got upset. Moreover, since he didn't like fighting or killing, Bayezid often was upset that he, who was much more skilled, didn't get chosen for campaigns and had to show respect to someone less skilled in fighting. Selim is also the son born after Mehmet. He is very intelligent. He saw everyone's flaws and how the Sultan dealt with them, so he was very distanced. He is often shown and meek and cunning. He doesn't argue with the Sultan, he distances himself and although he becomes a drunkard, falling under the pressure of something he was born into, he quickly realises that his children's lives are at risk and he starts becoming ruthless. When Sultan Selim I tried to kill Suleyman with that poisonous Kaftan, he doesn't ride to confront his father like Mustafa does. That doesn't make him less brave. Clearly, he is skilled in the military area. He understands the power of the Sultan and does things as a Shezade. When Suleyman asks his father why he killed his brother and father, he doesn't demand it as Mustafa demands in an accusatory fashion, nor does he talk to others behind his father's back. Similarly, when Sultan Suleiman reprimands Selim, he aaccepts and begs for a chance. Bayezid and Mustafa don't do that. They argue. They are a threat because when he gives commands, one still marries a political leaders daughter, and the other marries his cousin. When Sultan Suleyman has Selim be the regent during his campaign, they immediately gang up on him as if he is the one who made the decision. That is disobedience to the Sultan. Questioning his will. While his brothers pretend to be righteous, he doesn't. He showed the Sultan that he understood how traditions work. He showed that he knew in the end that everyone but Mihrrimah and Cihangir would die. He didn't need military might or to rebel. He let the rest iritate and disobey the Sultan until he killed them. 😅 He secured his family's survival by being ruthless even when he started out being made fun of for not caring for blood. 😊 Everyone in this series is not innocent. They play with power and abuse it. They are naive, and others are hurt because of it. They need power to survive, and that's okay. They need power to keep their families safe, and that's okay. He was just wiser about how and where he got that power. Like his mother, his power was the Sultan.
In the Ottoman court, a woman had to be a snake. There were many other women who had reason to see her son killed so that their son could be the one to inherit the throne. It was quite literally, "Kill, or be Killed".
@@forexed8948 what should we call the men who literally made it legal to kill siblings and even father and sons for the throne it's very easy to paas the blame on women but the real demon always lies in men who make such laws
This is just an interpretation of what happened. 😅 We all know that such a time really didn't have options. Lives of loved ones on the line, pressure from parents and those around, didn't allow for much. Thankfully, the change Haseki Hurrem Sultan brought would lead to changing the laws in a few generations so that the Sehzade ascending the throne didn't need to kill his brothers. Even then, we see with Kosem Sultan and the resulting Turhan Sultan's era that so much civil war came about. Still, the change was only possible because of the change that happened in Sulran Suleiman's time. The fall of the Ottoman empire and others like it is mostly from the fast change in military reforms, especially with new firearms, etc... and their last alliance. I feel sorry for everyone in this series. ❤
The saddest part here is that knowing that once one of the brothers ascended to the throne (not that I’m not aware that its actually Selim), his other brothers and nephews would need to to get killed in order to avoid usurp to the throne. Kinda sad thinking of all the Princes who had to be killed just for this 1 reason. The Princes who had lived up to their teens or 20’s might’ve experience wealth in life but would always fear of the day their lives are to be taken. Imagine in Hurrem stead, all her other sons and grandsons, all wiped out after Selim ascended. Its just a consolation that she died long before Selim’s ascension and dis not have to witness the slaughters
Had Hurrem not been so sick, Nubaru would have been 6 foot under. I hope her ghost hunts her for stealing her ring. Th fact that Selim let her wear and keep it is strange.
For some reason what stood out the most to me about this scene is a fact that he is running away from those men he KNOWS are going to murder him yet he fixed his turban while doing so for some reason because having your headwear while running was more important. 🤪🤗
This season is SO badly written that the characters I once adored, like Rustem or Hurrem, now lost like 80% of their brain cells and personality, and as soon as the season started, it was hard for me not to support Nurbanu or Selim. And as if it wasn't enough, the screenwriters filled the wholes in the show with meaningless characters with poor and unfinished story arches (ATMACA - please, someone kill that guy) or Cihangir, who is always praised for his "wisdom and knowledge", and the only wisdom and knowledge he shows is being a Mustafa's NPC, with only one command programmed: Support Mustafa, hate Selim for no particular reason, repeat if necessary. 🥱 Mihrimah is obviously stupid and annnoying as ever, with a super-skill to fall in love with anyone except her husband. Besides, Nurbanu is the only true beauty left in the show, maybe side by side with Fatma (she looks stunning in the late season 4, a very pretty woman, and it's so nice to see 'coz she's already been in her mid-forties while she played in MC) and the new Hurrem, but still this last one looks like a retired supermodel, she's so majestic, but modern, and I don't think Vahide Percin was the best casting choice.
I agree with most of what you said. Rustem was awesome then the writers butchered him in the end. Cihangir is soo annoying and in his dying scene I just wanted to put some chapstick on his lips. Atmaca has unrealistic superpowers, that just don't hold up. Nurbanu is beautiful and very smart. I do however think that Vahide is a wonderful choice for Hurrem. I love the older version of Hurrem, maybe more than the original.
@@aham_and_shaheer_myfavourite I've seen the series several times and I can't help but find Cihangirs death scene VERY annoying. Seriously go back and look at his lips lol 😂😂 Vaseline/chapstick!!!! Caution, you won't be able to view that scene without thinking about chapstick from now on haha!! 😂
Fatma loooooved using the dynasty blood excuse and yet she was about to let nurbanu, a mere concubine, sultana by son, talk to her niece a royal dynasty member that way? Just to jab at hurrem? That's pathetic, hatice would be FURIOUS.
To be honest, I support nurbanu here. She does deserve respect. You can't blame her for being cruel later. She's just likr hurrem, can do everything to ensure her victory.
I really love this scene... Hurrem doesn't bow to Fatma anymore.. Irl also, the haseki outranked the rank of the dynasty sultana, she never bow to Hatice, Shah or Fatma since she became the haseki of the sultan
it is so wrong at so many levels ! how come Hurrem Wife of King bow to the princess of late king ! queen would only bow to King and King mother or grandmothers whose even King has to bow in a respectful way ! but why Hurrem bowed to suleiman's sisters !
Her victory would have been absolute if she could defang Selim and kill Nurbanu. Sadly, she was more than happy to turn a blind eye to things she doesn't want to see.
@@ΔημΣΚ and why not? Cause I don't think that Selim will be willing to simply hand over his spot as Suleiman's heir. Nor Nurbanu the almost guaranteed spot as the future valide sultan
