I have heard a few guitar players do this song. This guy's variety of interpretations of the licks in the solo and the variations in tone and dynamics is absolutely stunning. SO many colours and emotions. Beautiful!
I don't want to take anything away from the performance, but I have to recommend a guitarist who also played it. The boy is unbelievable. But this one is absolutely top class: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sS1WYIu_gA4.html
Unbelievable!!!!!!!! One of the best pickers I've ever seen. Great version and not a lick missed. I'm 82 years old, but I had that one cranked up and couldn't keep my eyes off those gifted hands. Thank you, young man for that performance. If I ever get to London...........
I have enjoyed the original many times and many fine covers. I have never heard a guitarist take and bend and push and attack it anything close to this Cat. Truly EXTRAORDINARY. BRAVO.
It's funny how people critique this so differently. People that can't play fast accurately want to say it's awful. Others want to say it's genius. When it comes to music, everybody wants to be an expert. Just my thoughts.
To the guy who said he loses the song, you are one dimensional this young man has world class ability he stays in cord the whole time. He can play his guitars from anywhere on this planet and be a guitar god. I have never seen or heard anyone play to the level at his age ever. Thank you bro for sharing your unbelievable talent.
So many just rush by hurry up to no where of particular importance and miss this incredible young man’s talent . Sad that most peoples lives are so vapid that they don’t stop to listen .
@robertkreamer7522: Most people have a job of their own with a short lunch break and a family to feed. If you stopped to listen to every average street performer in Soho you wouldn’t likely have a job for long.
I had thought I had maxed out on this song. I never thought I’d ever hear anyone that would make me feel I was hearing for the first time again. An astonishing talent and I think he always keeps his thumb braced behind the neck! I reckon he has been classically trained. No matter what a brilliant performance!
I must have heard this song a million times, it is my all time favourite. Dire Straits live version off the incredible Alchemy album is the best I reckon. But this young bloke has breathed another type of fire into it and it sounds absolutely magic. Great guitar work, I'm sure Knopfler would nod his head and approve.👍
It really hits my cringe button when people talk on behalf of the opinion of others. This is not sultans of swing, the only thing that sounded like it was the backing track, it was just improvisation. Great playing but not Sultans of swing.
Wow! Now that's impressive. Not the guitarist ... but listening to the song a million times. By my account, that's 22 years and a Guiness Book of Records entry, assuming 12 hours per day.
I like that he put his own twist to this classic. At first I had to look past the original, because after all Sultan of Swing is my favorite song of all time; once I got past that, I was able to truly see this young man’s talent. Well done! 👏
He’s a master of the art of both guitar playing and improvisation. That’s the most creative and competently performed one I’ve heard so far. Excellent.
This guy is immensely talented. A virtuoso. He was truly brilliant. He's mastered that guitar 10-fold of anything I could ever do. Somebody make this guy a millionaire. Take my money.
Just learning to play the drums over the last few years. I can only imagine how wonderful it must feel to be able to play at that level and express yourself through an instrument that way. I’ve been watching this kid for several years. Sad to see so many people Walking by that do not appreciate this kind of talent. We are all too busy in this world.
Just keep practicing hard and listening to all kinds of music and you’ll get there one day! I, on a similar journey with guitar. I want to be able to unlock my musical potential to be able to play anything I want to and improvise beautiful and tasteful melodies and ideas!
I've been watching this performance over and over and over.......and over for a few years now. Miguel is clearly a virtuous of the first order. I am so appreciative for his talent and his dedication to his craft. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
But the one man band By the quick lunch stand He was playing real good, for free. … Nobody stopped to hear him Though he played so sweet and high They knew he had never Been on their t.v. So they passed his music by (Joni Mitchell, Really Good for Free)
Gives me goosebumps listening and watching him burned through his guitar . He's on a different level compared to so many of the baskers i've watched and listened to .
Love the way he does his own thing and totally owns it and the delicate way he transitions so deftly from face-melting rif to subtle and soft. And the way he lives within the space of the song, opening it out to play with it. Sign of a virtuoso.
Excellent, Miguel! Absolutely fantastic to heart and to see you play and perform this piece of music so effortlessly!!! Loved it!!!! Well Done!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I Appreciate Your Playing Very Much! And May God Continue To Bless You Even More So! Great Work!!!!
Very good player, the reality is and I can tell you this as a luthier, there are lots of these guys...phenomenally good and can't even get session jobs because there are too many and so much talent out there, they end up on the street, keeping Sultans alive with a twist of rock! 🤘
Best chance of getting a gig is being a drummer, followed by bass. I once said to a guy in a guitar shop, "I bet you sell 6 guitars for every bass." He replied, "More like 26 for every bass"
@@williamallfrey577 Its true, love making bass guitars, always laminated neck through with lots of bone and 400 year old fret board or something exotic
Imagine being Mark Knopfler and hearing this talented young guy play his interpretation of something you created a long time ago when you were once young.
I wonder if this would make sense to anyone that had not already heard the original? I found myself subconsciously 'filling in the gaps'. I then began to get bored. The original I could listen to over and over. Knopfler is a true genius.
At first when i see the title of this favarite song, i thot this is just another normal cover, until i get in to watch and could not believe how this is played to another new level that nobody could even come close to his talent!
Great performance on the Sultans Of Swing chords. Very interesting to hear a guitar lead played with a plectrum versus Mark knoplfer's finger picking technic.
Here was me coming in here ready to bash the RU-vid generation of influencers looking to make a name off of someone else’s work. Nope. This guy makes it his own. Good job guy.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! KEEP IT UP! Great style. You show your HEART IS IN YOUR MUSIC! OMG! Where did you come from? Definitely one of a kind!! 😊❤🙋🏽♀️🐇👍🏽🎼🎸🎵🎶
