You even had the curtisy of installing a heat alarm in your house! Also those older FireX smoke alarms with the green sticker is extremely rare! They are photoelectric versions of the ADC.
Yes I have three heat alarms in my garage, one for each bay. Those Firex units are pretty common here in MA. I had a whole bucket of those I pulled from my house at one point but sold them on eBay last year
Make sure u test them with smoke or smoke sabre, because the button doesn’t test the sensor. I learned that the hard way and it turned out we had non functioning smoke alarms in our home for over a year. Its especially important to test ionization alarms with real smoke, since they have unreliable sensors that sometimes don’t last 10 years even if u clean them.
Actually, on most photoelectric models the button does test the sensor. Even some of the dirt cheap optical eBay models will do that. If you want to learn more about that, you can watch this video of the disassembly of a cheap eBay smoke alarm. It’s kind of cool. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uzKAZCKjpU8.html
What year were those manufactured because they are the China model and that sometimes means older I can tell by the photoelectric sticker because when they started making them in Mexico it looks different also those do test the sensors
Nice Test! What do you think about First Alert or did you just went with Kiddle because of the older alarms with the same connectors or because you had good luck with them?
I’m not particularly a fan of first alert or kidde fire extinguishers period, however first alert smoke alarms are okay. I don’t hate them, but I prefer kidde. I have had less issues with kidde and they are just easier to maintain and install for me.
And other thing, I live in a townhouse! This one day the neighbors Basement detector went off then ours went too! But if it's Top or main floor it doesn't set the neighbors off! Kidde Carbon is on the top floor and the two others or kiddle detectors
@@FireAlarmDude5967 lol yeah I know that. But I think mine was different. There was button I had to pull out first t. Found a video for that model thanks
@@FireAlarmDude5967 I mean they usually don’t go too far but when I do find them they are definitely not on the ceiling I have given up on the fight on the walking away smoke detectors
