Hi Joann, I understand completely. I used to get crazy decorating for the holidays. I have found that going more minimal with my decor is so much more calming. Instead of getting many items and trying to fit them all in somewhere, I purchase items that I really love. I have a mixture of items I have thrifted along with new decor. I just love it so much more. I am also getting rid of items when I purchase new ones. It is so satisfying not to have an overwhelming amount of decor items.

Yes! I gave up makeup about 7 years ago, cold turkey, and have never looked back. I've also been working on decluttering my home. I have a long way to go, but I'm getting there.

I am 60 years old and don't wear makeup. I feel that I am happier . I definitely getting rid of my own clutter. Our garage needs to be not so overwhelming. Enjoy your time off I am going to be working on me.😊😊😊

Hi Joann I completely understand where you are coming from. I am definitely at that place in my life where I just want things to be more at peace more comfortable pretty much just simplifying my life. If that make sense! To me less is more because I was definitely the person that was shopping at all the stores around the holidays like hobby lobby, because I love that store. Then buying way to much and then taking down every single decoration for each holiday and putting up the next decoration for the next holiday. I was becoming overly stimulated. It felt more like a job versus the passion I have for decorating. so I am definitely on that journey with you the older I get the less I want to do if that makes sense. My husband is in his 40s and I’m waving at 40 ! And we have five kids amongst us so we are already extremely busy as is we have three older boys, two younger girls! our boys are actually becoming grown men we have a soon to be 21 year old, We have a soon to be 18 year old a soon to be 17 year old soon to be 11 year old and soon to be 4 year old they alone take up so much time of my life so with spending all the time shopping and decorating. I’m already exhausted with being a mom and then a wife and then having to still keep my house up the way I like it. It is like a second full-time job so I am with you on just simplifying my life ! I don’t need to much of everything I just need enough to fill my space up to make it, feel at home and comfy and cozy where I’m not breaking the bank spending all this money on new decor items every single year for every single holiday and season and then not to mention I have a nice size storage unit that comes with my place as well! And it is filled with bins of decorations that I’ve brought over the years and honestly it just becomes way too much to deal with and to keep up with and I feel like I’m spending money and wasting money if that makes sense because I’m not reusing the same decorations every year because I’m always switching up themes. I really want to get to a place where I have Exactly what I want for each holiday and season and start a collection of the items that I’m going to reuse every year and maybe just add on on new Decor item each year if that makes sense and like you said, bring in something new something old has to go I am right with you on that as well so I am excited to take this journey with you. I’m doing very minimum for my summer decor and that’s it. I’m gonna take a break as well and enjoy my family for the summer time as the kids are out of school and just relax and I will be right with you on this journey when you start decorating for the fall and upcoming holidays! your home already is beautiful as is I cannot wait to see you take this new journey in life, you and your family and I’m so excited to see what you have in store for us in the upcoming future here on RU-vid! 🙏💪☮️❤

The curtains are so pretty! You did so good on them😊 I have a larger terracotta pot on my plant stand on the porch that's full of the little tiny pots. I was just thinking the other night about bringing a few in to out in a vignette.. but i like that idea of waxing them to make them look older! So thanks for that idea Gf😊 It looks so good the way you have the pieces on top..i have my copper jelly molds just beneath my cabinets and over the door.. we have several of the same!😊 Also love the copper canisters, and all the jadeite! I've been looking for just A few pieces, i'd like to have some to put in my old coffee grinder, so cute! I'm definitely going to find something to put in it.. another great idea😊 Your table looks so nice! Love all the blue & white.. but the milk glass pieces are beautiful❤ I'm working on my collection! I had never seen a chicken wire cloche until recently. I found one at the antique store right after and you know i grabbed it😄 I put a small hen in nest and greenery in it, it has a flat weird base, i lie your riser better😉 Oh goodness.. the framed wall and that entire space is beautiful! I love all my doilies, linens with crocheted edges, linens with stitching and old hankies! So pretty in to place here & there. I bought a really old piece recently that's gorgeous.. so fun to find! The cash register is sweet😊 Love how you have those shelves in that area styled! Your home is and always has been beautiful! Joanne i found your channel not that long ago, but I've totally enjoyed every video.. but more than that I've find a beautiful, precious friend! I understand, I get overwhelmed with having so much stuff, but I have a problem letting things go, especially things that someone gave me! I am trying to work on this issue!
