I just know that if i get a leave in conditioner, a styling lotion, & oils im good. Need to have silicones, and silk or silk like ingredients in those. Sometimes all of this is in one product, i have a styling cream from Moroccan something brand that ticks all the boxes. Typical ingredient deck for leave-in is: AQUA / WATER/EAU, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, AMODIMETHICONE, CETYL ESTERS, BEHENTRIMONIUM CHLORIDE. Right there you got an hydrophilic ingredient, emollients to smooth the hair, silicones to both smooth the hair and repell humidity to some degree, and a antistatic agent that would help in detangling. Then you need oillll: almond oil, argan oil, coconut oil. They are all lovely. And more silicones, heavier ones if you want hair to stay straight like dimethicone. But yes, over all, leave in conditioner + styling cream + oil spray = bomb hair. I just look at the ingredients of things. You start seeing the patterns quickly.
