I admire how organized you are and how disciplined you are at keeping a schedule with your kids!! I’m also a mom of 4 and some days I’m just too burnt out to keep up..😅 also how do you also find time to keep up with all the house chores on top of everything else…you’re a super mom!! 🤍
You are a wonderful mom that is good Teaching them we had to clean their room made their beds and all that that’s the way it should be and I’m proud the way you’re doing that for your children you are an awesome mom. Love your family ❤️
Love your schedules! Very organized which is super important for you as well as the girls. Just a suggestion: clear contact paper will be helpful as a laminating agent. I used to teach, and i “laminated” so many things. When you start laminating, i recommend practicing first. Try it! It’s a great way to save the girls artwork too.
I homeschooled back in the 80s when you were mostly underground. I registered with the school in the area but they frowned upon it, I was threatened by people all the time, “ I will call the police on you” Homeschooling has come a long way.❤️ It’s a lot of work but so worth it.
I totally agree with you. I wish I had the means and the know how so I can do it. I have an autistic son who’s a sophomore this year. He has been the target of bullying and this county is impossible to home school. But besides that, like you said, the world is not a kind. There are fights every day at both schools my kids attend. (I have one in high school and one in middle) A couple of months ago there was a stabbing at the high school. Bullying policy is not being enforced and there’s even a law against bullying. This has been the WORST since my kids started school here in 2013. There was a year or two that were pretty bad but this year is HORRIBLE. I do wish I could home school but their policy for homeschooling is impossible to deal with.
Maybe she should ask her father in law to vote for AR15s to be illegal instead of him doing nothing like the rest of Congress. Why are we sacrificing children because the NRA owns our politicians. Maybe you don’t care cuz you homeschool.

Alyssa thanks for sharing yalls homeschool journey! We began homeschooling last year and we love it! We use Abeka and we also legit copied your entire classroom layout , desks and everything. You sharing made it so easy to set up our classroom! Thank you and as always, we love the videos! They make our day. My oldest will come running into our room on Wednesday and Friday mornings “mommy mommy it’s Alyssa day!!!” ☺️☺️💜

Why summer school aren't you afraid of burn out. I feel all kids need some kind of break.maybe reading a book everyday would keep them busy. It just seems like alot.

I’d do less worksheets and more outings to Childrens Museum, zoos science museum , picnics, parks, trips to the library , any local kid camps. Etc . That’s what summer should be
But then she has to interact with them! They’re like little adults doing everything for themselves while she puts on makeup and gets other people to do her house work and projects 🤦🏻♀️She doesn’t even cook! Everything is from a box. So unhealthy
Love how organized you are! I teach second graders and I try to be organized but it just doesn't work. So important to keep their young minds engaged and active all summer so that they don't lose the skills they learned during the school year! Good luck and enjoy your summer. My vacation starts on June 17th when the our school year ends.
We are doing time4learning and thinking tree for the curriculum for summer and then we will do the good and the beautiful , Barnes and nobles and our local libraries summer reading program! My oldest is traveling for baton and does public school and will be a senior so our life is always a mix of things but we do what works for us !
My son went to college with 2 siblings that were homeschooled. Ages 13 and 15, a Christian college, their sister had graduated college the year before at 16 years of age. They credited homeschooling and traveling, for educational field trips, as planting the seed of learning. Quality education is one of the best gifts you can give a child. The siblings had to get special dispensation to attend and not live on campus.

Love the schedule but... do none of the kids nap?? 😱And if so, how do you survive? Haha 1:30-3:30 is naptime and my sanity time in my house full of littles.
I love watching your family videos. Please don't let others discouge you. No one has the right to judge you for the family decisions you and John make according to what is best for your family. I know I don't know you personally but I love your whole family not in a weird creepy stocker way but a genuine love as a family of God.
We take 5 weeks off and more time off during the year. I do want them to have a longer break for their little brains but not too long for them to forget things. Lol I also need a break to relax and not have things to check everyday haha Your summer schedule looks intense - I hope you all can relax too and just swim and play and eat watermelon hehe
It’s not as intense as it seems. Little ones often don’t have a long attention span so the schedule is to help them move from coloring to activity to play time without them being bored.
Have you thought of swim lessons or swim camps? That’s a great summer activity. I often wonder if the Bates children learned how to swim because of their strict modesty rules.
Summer school for such young kids ,never heard of it ,they need time to just be kids and play etc ,i find this young women too extreme for words , not enjoyable to watch at all ,byeeee
