What a packed few weeks in Croatia last summer! I've finally come around to putting this vlog together. What an incredible throwback:
0:00 Getting to Croatia
3:22 Plitvice Lakes - Reunited with friends
4:07 Croatian Food Montage
4:52 Adventure & Site-Seeing!
7:40 Exploring Dubrovnik
Part 1: I started off in Vienna (I have a vlog of that on my channel) at the Vienna International Bus Terminal and took a bus to Zagreb. On the way there, my friends were flying from Canada, but hit an unexpected flight delay that caused them to miss their connecting flight to Zagreb. I ended up making a few solo plans to check out the city. I hit up The Museum of Broken Relationships, which was highly recommended by my luggage drop-off concierge. Then, I roamed around the city for a few hours until my friends were able to catch a later flight to Zagreb.
Part 2: Finally reunited with my friends, we headed over to check out Plitvice Lake. It was rainy but beautiful and somewhat reminded me of Lake Emerald back in Canada.
Part 3: Food! The best part about Croatia was that the food reminded me of Italian food at a much lower price! We ate tons of seafood and delicious pasta. Oh, and you can't forget the wine!
Part 4: Needless to say, we chose Croatia for its adventure. From boating excursions for the Blue Cave to mountain biking in Sali / Dugi Otok, we tried it all. Some were indeed more exhausting than others, but the views were worth it. We went from Split to Hvar by ferry and checked out Jesla just for lunch. Since we've been packed with adventures already, we took the day easy and went to a quiet beach called Ivan Dolac in Hvar. Later that evening, we found huge stretches of lavender fields in Brusje, Hvar -- it was my first time seeing a lavender field!
Part 5: Dubrovnik Old Town! We dropped off our rental car here and took the city by foot. It's possibly the most unique city on this trip with its stone walls and baroque-era buildings. That being said, it's one of the busiest tourist areas with every sidewalk lined with restaurants and bars. It's a must-see city. We took a gondola to Srd Hill for a mountain-top view of the old town's wall.
I hope you enjoy this Croatian travel vlog and I hope you subscribe for more :)
