I love that you are promoting local farmers, better quality food and slow living. That’s a sponsorship I can totally get behind. And your gym looks so lovely!
I’ve never click on a video so quickly. You inspire me to elevate my life. Your voice is so relaxing. The pacing of your videos is so calming. Thank you for being you. I can only hope my vlogs get to your level
Lydia truly has a knack for making everything look so dreamy! 🌼 I could seriously watch her videos all day. Also, I'd love to see more behind-the-scenes fun about her outfits. Where does she get her inspo? It's amazing! 🌼✨
I never comment on your videoes. But last monday I had to say goodbye to my 15 year old fur-baby. He was old with a weak heart and they found tumours in his lever, spleen and testicle. Devastating does not come close to describing it. I held him in my arms as he was sedated, just cuddling him and telling him how loved he was. I say good night and good morning to him still and I announce when I get home, as if he was still here. Sometimes I swear I hear him moving around and whenever it’s “dogwalk-time” my body gears up for it… it’s just surreal to not have him here. I MISS HIM UNBEARABLY MUCH!😭
Perfectly normal … 15 years is a long time.. we recently lost a 4 year cat suddenly…I am not over it yet … 4 months now… time will heal but you are healing. ❤️
Lydia you always an instant mood lifter, please make sit down video on time management, making friends and finding peace with whatever life throws at us
It’s a vanilla strawberry hydrangea (in the USA). And it has the cone shaped flowers, blooms cream then the bottom of the cone flowers turn pink and ombré up the cone and the pink gets darker and darker into the fall. It’s really cool to watch it change through the season!
The bees in the bee hotel are solitary bees, they're female, and laying 1-20 or so eggs (depending on the species) in there with a food store of pollen and nectar. They then cap them off. The eggs will overwinter and bee larvae will emerge, eat the food, develop and pupate, emerging as adult bees the following spring (or later in the year depending on species).
Re: the hydrangea. It’s a type called hydrangea paniculata- they have slightly more conical shaped blooms and they often have more dramatic colour changes throughout the season. I think it might be Vanille Fraise but theres loads of similar varieties. They can also cope with more sun than the round hydrangea macrophylla types and Annabelle etc.
Yes I have this hydrangea also and it does look remarkably the same, starts off white and then changes to a pinky colour, they are cone shaped too, I saw them in France so maybe the fraise, comes from them being a French variety, be nice to find out if that’s true, but so beautiful
Your body is looking so much healthier, be ok with sizing up. Your future self will thank you for it. Build big strong muscles, eat all the protein and healthy fats. The goal is strong not small.😊
By far my favourite type of vlog from you! It’s so exciting seeing your evolution and the changes in and around your home. It’s wild that so many years ago I followed you mainly for fashion and now I’m soooo enjoying all of your countryside content. It’s so inspirational and comforting! ❤️
With whatever means we have, it is paramount to have a healthy diet. If you don’t use food as your medicine, you will be using medicine as your food. Thank you Mrs Millen Gordon for a lovely video with plenty of food for thought. 💕💕💕
@@Alicia-bi4rq food is medicine. There is everything to cure all ills in nature, you just have to educate yourself. Big pharma does more harm than good.
Maybe your chicken has an egg stuck you could try this: Warm bath: Place the hen in a warm bath that covers her vent area for about 20 minutes. You can add Epsom salts to the water to help her relax. Gently massage her abdomen to help her muscles relax, but be careful not to break the egg. I watch a gal do this on one of my Portugal Quinta (Farm) videos.
I like your basement very much, Lydia. We have a large kitchen with a paver brick floor sealed with polyurethane. It’s one of the things that sold us on the house. The floor always gets compliments when we have new visitors to the house. I love yours as well and the joy it brings you.
What is with all the negativity about the lower floor. If its not your tatse then fine, Lydia loves it and believe it or not its her house. Shocking i know. Your opinion is irrelevant. Seriously why are people so rude. Just simply keep your opinions to yourself.
Lydia dear, the dolce dress is beautiful and I don’t think your back looks huge. Not even close. We all have these insecurities about our bodies, but I have to say, your shape is incredible and your back looks toned and the right size for you, so I wouldn’t focus too much on it. You look really beautiful and healthy so keep it up ❤
Such a lovely vlog! You look so happy, it’s amazing. I really loved that food shop and ordering local. Love that so much! Also, you have no idea how you being transparent about the dresses not fitting. It feels like everything would fit your incredibly beautiful toned slim body, and sometimes feels very far from what I experience when I shop 😅 You being transparent about it and being so positive and wise about it has made me feel so so so so good. Strange how things work. I love the D&G dress on you. I can’t wait to see the gym finished, I know you have a vision here.

Lydia I love your home, I have learnt a lot and changed a lot my taste listening to your thought process and there’s nothing wrong in wanting your home to feel and look the way you wish! Is a basic need for safety and comfort that everyone has…ignore the negativity and keep doing you! Liking similar good things that others like is not wrong that means you just have similar tastes and is not a negative thing at all…perspective is everything! Sending you lots of love Lydia ❤
I love pipers farm! I use the wool they package the goods in to compost and I also stitched some into some lovely fabric and used it as a the filling for a bush crafting blanket! As a treat, Thomas Joseph Butchers do amazing aged steaks!
Lydia, looking at your garden is so inspiring. Growing up, my grandmother had a yummy garden in our backyard. There were also tons of plants in the house. When I buy my first home, a garden is at the top of my list lol ❤
Your house looks stunning! I like the rustic look for the gym, the floor is so different you haven’t gone with the flow, love watching you and Mr Millen Gordon and the animals 🥰 I love your home videos I’m hooked thank you 🌸 🌺
I love that you advocate British farmers who put animal welfare, sustainability & bio diversity 1st. Farmers need our support. We don't want to encourage GMO food! 💚

All it is doing is coming across as being jealous, miserable and nasty. Also your comment doesn’t even make sense. Typical keyboard warrior 🙄😆😆😆
I’m not an expert, but the hydrangea looks like hydrangea paniculata pinky winky or similar. They start out white, turning into pinks and reds as time goes by and season starts to change.
Love watching these sorts of vlogs from you Lydia, regarding the leaf cutter Bees, my brother in law told me that, the bee goes into the canes or holes and lays eggs, and then seals them up with the leaf that it’s cut, very interesting to watch, and mostly roses leaves, you can see round your garden the holey leaves, this keeps them warm and safe from predators, then the following spring the egg at the back of the hole wakes up and bites the bum of the one in front to wake him up and then they all emerge 😊🐝🌿
Lydia the black REVOLVE dress with the slightly flared bottom looked gorgeous on you! I know you wanted a different size, but girl…You should get it! 😍❤
You look fab, and I can't say enough about how lovely and consistent your content is. So many UK "influencers" have become absolutely insufferable, yet you've found what works for you and never deviate.
Lydia will you please list your current hair products ? Your hair is always gorgeous, but you could see how healthy and shiny is was in the sun! Thanks
I was watching this on the TV but had to come comment through my phone; I love seeing you so at peace with your home and body! It inspires so many and encourages your viewers fo feel the same 🤍 I also have to say as a long time follower, this might be my favorite vlog. You sounded and looked so confident and happy. I found myself wanting to see the bee continue poking its head out!! 💕🐝
Lydia....there is nothing big about you. That dress is stunning on you. I love the lemon flowers. Having said that if you don't feel your best in it don't keep it. But you would look amazing in a black sack. You just have such a lovely shape
It seems like some humans are, intellectually struggling, with human behavior. Simple life etiquette.... Your vlogs are simply gorgeous and beautiful. Authentic and transparent. Your life your choices!
It’s the same ‘humans’, week in, week out. Hopefully they can eventually find some joy in their lives. They band together and always just stand out as ugly in Lydia’s comments 🌸
Yorkshire lass here. I live near Masham. So great to hear a mention 'up Norf'. I buy local meats at Castle Howard. Lovely vid. Please buy lemon geranium. You will not be disappointed 💛
Its a Panicle Hydrangea, took a screen shot and put it into an app which is called 'picture this' you can take a picture of any plant and it will tell you what it could be and if the plant looks healthy 😊
Catlitter will get the oil stains out. As long as it doesn't rain. Also works like a charm for oil leakage stains in the garage. Just put a thin layer on top of the stain. Kind regards
My favorite moment. Lydia singing the Hokey Pokeyto the bee at the end of the video ADORABLE! The Aavelle dresses beautiful, Lauren did look spectacular in Italy in her navy blue dress with the hat, but you look gorgeous in them as well, im definitely going to have to order a few colors, Ive been influenced! - The DG dress with sunflowers, gorgeous its very you. I love the new downstairs floor and the Gym!!! its like having your own personal Soho house at home such a treat,
I think it’s called hydrangea perniculata. Because it’s has more pointed flowers. Not sure if there are several white ones. I know there are other colours. 🙂
I never got to understand why anyone would buy ready made burger patties… nothing easier to make at home. Get the meat freshly ground at your butchers and back home, season, form and done.
Opinions are like assholes, EVERYONE has one. The most negative of people feel entitled to share their opinion with others. I wonder if it’s because people don’t feel heard in their own life. Civility and kindness seem to be in short supply world wide. I love what you have done, very calming.
If you make a poultice of baking soda, flour, and water….nice and thick….it should suck out most of the oil from your stone table. Cover it with a towel and leave it over night.
@@lydiamillen Yes.....horses are unpredictable. It's a risk EVERY time you get on their back. Even the most bombproof horse can suddenly bolt. Good for Lauren for raising awareness! And even the most experienced riders can get into trouble very, very quickly. Just look at Yvonne from the channel Friesian Horses. She was riding in her own indoor arena with one of her regular horses and had a extremely traumatic fall and ended up in a coma with a brain injury. 😔(And she was wearing a helmet). It was a very slow recovery with several complications. Unfortunately accidents do happen and it's imperative to be aware of that.
@@lydiamillenI was thinking of you too when I heard so frightening for you both … I know Leonora had a bad riding accident too many years ago 😢 I hope Lauren gets better soon 🙏🏻
Ohh I love seeing your gym transformation, it will be so tranquil. And I just had to say keep the Dolce dress it looked just so pretty on you. Thank you again for being a creator that actually is fantastic for a nervous system reboot. Wholesome and just perfect for me in all aspects.
I love the gym, it looks amazing ❤ Could you use an electric diffuser for the smell and have gorgeous battery lit candles instead? You could get ones with remote controls. All that wood and naked flame would make me nervous ❤😬
I bought that aavelle dress a couple of weeks ago having had my eye on it for a while. so glad I got it before it spread on your channel as no doubt it will be sold out now. :) feeling pretty clever
Not a fan of the reclaimed wood in the gym space (it is so dark), however, I appreciate the space is not yet finished and look forward to viewing it then.
I say this with respect but I personally think the downstairs boarding is absolutely hideous. But it’s their house and if they like it good for them. My guess is much like the early renovations were all shiny and white a la the original dressing room Reno and chrome furniture she will hate that room in about two years time we’ll be watching it removed and re-done. 😂❤ I enjoy a Reno vlog and a reason to see ken and graham 😂❤
When one of our chickens becomes broody we separate her but still give her food and water and keep her away from the others for around a week, it’s important to do it because they can become egg bound which is not healthy for the her 😊😊
I'm certainly an advocate for buying only what you need, locally sourced and sold. When you know the people you are buying from who live in your village it has to be a choice 💗
Lydia the hydrangea I think could be a paniculata called quick fire, which starts off white and gradually changes from a pretty pale pink to a beautiful, what I call a deep raspberry pink, absolutely gorgeous
Hi Lydia your house is looking so beautiful I love your videos! I’m pretty sure your Hydrangea outside your bedroom window is a paniculata sundae Fraise xx it’s beautiful cone like flower heads start out white and gradually turn darker pink as summer goes through to autumn xx
Lydia, I love love love your channel! I've been watching past videos and I just love your current style! You are so inspiring with your classic timeless vibe. I'm 20 years older than you, I used to have very similar skin tone and hair color that you do now but now I'm getting more and more grey which I am embracing. I'm very into nature as well. Question: do you follow any older women or do you know of any older women"s channels that you could recomend that are similar to you but 20 years older? It's so hard to find inspiration as we age. Thank you so much for all your positive energy!
Massive transformation Lydia. I like it. It has a warm vibe to it. You should do a food shop vlog. Every now and then. I would watch it. You would be surprised how popular they are especially on RU-vid. Give it some thought. It could be another aspect to your lifestyle that you vlog. 👍❤️👍
Lydia love this video. The white top alone and paired with the skirt looks so good on you. In my opinion the other dresses didn’t do you any favor. And omg the green dress you wore is also so very nice on you. You are beautiful no mater what but some clothes just make you glow even more and some less. I truly love your style and your attention to detail.
I loved your food shop section! I’m always watching food shop unboxings 😂 I love them as also a big fan of good quality produce, supporting farms in the Uk and the Mediterranean diet!! Also just finished Stanley Tucci “Taste” audiobook, highly recommend if you’ve not already listened ❤️
As far as buying art there is a quote by an unknown author, ""There are many things in life that will catch your eye, but only a few will catch your heart....pursue those."
@@tillieconstantine3906and Farmhouse took it from somewhere else. What’s your point? Nothing is ever original, everything is inspired from something, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. If you love a space so much why wouldn’t you want it in your home? At least she’s not trying to hide where it’s coming from.
@@Nathalie.R.C where did they “took” it from then ? & where’s the talent w/ interior design if you’re just going to copy others ? she shouldn’t have fallen out w/ her designer. she had taste.
@@tillieconstantine3906 I don’t see why you’re so upset in all these comments. It’s not your house. If she doesn’t want a designer and wants that look that’s her choice, her house is not to please you. Also if you ever read about the Soho designers they love to tell where they get their inspiration house. There are many articles online interviewing them. There’s a great one on Lick about where they took the inspiration from for Soho Farmhouse. It’s a great read. You seem so negative in all your comment, maybe find a creator that brings you joy instead. It will be better for your heart.
