The Summer Lakers can't seem to find their way though Dalton Knecht had a great performance against the Rockets, JJ Redick had some interesting things to say about his plans for the team, and we will take questions and comments...
I agree! Now how about we get Spencer a GLeague spot for a season! lol. Imagine him and AR15 playing a couple of mins together down the line? haha. #pipedreams
@@Malapunteria Kinda of hard not to complain about it. Picking whitmore, jaquez, or podz who were all players drafted right after Schifino would have allowed for LA to have a player that can contribute right now and later on down the line after Lebron and AD. Maybe he will do something this upcoming season and prove fans wrong but I just don't see that happening.
TBH Scottie Pippen Jr. is the perfect PG that can score and also get others going off the bench. Sad Laker punt on all the talent that could actually help their team flourish.
@@milkrvr4088that's how they screwed up AD and felt him constantly injured, too. Playing out of position and gaining upper body strength in a contactless sport are bad ideas.
As for Knecht (and Bronny), like what exactly are you guys expecting a whole bunch of roleplayers with no Playmaker, to look like? Dalton will be fine at the next level because it’ll be clear where he’s getting his shots.
No issue with Bronny developing at the Lakers, I love it. But Bronny taking a roster spot at the moment is too far imo, he’ll be taken care of without the contract anyway. Considering we’ve typically gone into the season with a 14 man roster waiting to see if any buyouts happen, it’s concerning. This isn’t a rallying cry to all you Laker Crybabies, but Pelinka will likely be making some moves.
Tell Austin To train with kness over toes guy. He can unlock a level of athletic abilities he thought he doesn't have. He needs to change his body this summer. Max did. Get ur holes in but why not try jj offseason routine one summer?
We need another big because it's not fair to ask Davis to protect the basket and retrieve the rebounds after he forces a miss. How many times have we seen Davis make an incredible defensive play just for the other team to get the ball right back and put it in So frustrating
I don't understand why people keep banging on about how Bronny should have stayed in college. Really? Why? Because that's traditionally been what young players have done? In my way of thinking the College game translates way less into NBA potential than the G-League and being in an actual NBA team's program. I mean that's just logical right? The speed, the three point line, the physicality, the plays, the money spent on development and physical conditioning, the time spent in the video room, the time spent around professional players and NBA coaches.... it's all FAR superior and more accurately applicable to the NBA IN the NBA/GLeague. If you don't disagree with that, then Bronny 100% made the right choice. Now as to whether he's 'deserving' of that spot is another matter lol, but it is an entirely separate matter as to whether it was the right move for him. Case closed, let's move on and talk about something else eh? 😆
@@justthisguy1948 You're missing the point, He's not 'playing' in the NBA at the moment, he's playing in the GLeague. So tell us, what could he get from another year at College that he can't get at the South Bay Lakers? Mmmkaaay... GO.
@@warmunky3797 Bronny just not that good. 😑He's not improving by leaps & bounds in G League either. Everyone just needs to face reality. There's a reason he was the 55th pick. Never the best player on either his HS team or at USC If his last name wasn't James...he's probably not even drafted & just a walk on.🤣
@@kaferrat Dude, you're not arguing against anything I said, you're just perpetuating your own narrative lol. The question on the floor is did Bronny make the right decision to sign with the Lakers or should he have stayed in College. Either stick to the point or naff off to another thread where you're actually going to stay on point. So last chance, say something relevant to the conversation or STFU? I'm assuming you're ignorant and not unintelligent, so prove it. Ya? lol.
ps before you have another crack at looking ignorant, I'll give you a little bit of advice. Google the term "Strawman Fallacy". Which, spoiler alert is basically someone refuting an argument different form the one actually under discussion, usually to try and elevate their own self worth, but not always, i only mention that cos that's my best guess about what YOU are doing right now. So.... after Sir Google educates you (you probably pronounce it edumacate, but it's basically the same thing) come back and say something relevant to the convo at hand. The conch is yours, show us what you've got big boy. Mkkkkaaayyyyy... Go.
I told y'all Austin Reaves is his boy. No way will you get any negative talk about Reaves from Lakers Nation. This season will be his truth. No more excuses.
bronny is today’s gen z version of kobe. super impowith his argo. the buzz should be more about how we got him in the second round 🤷🏽♂️ he’s a a kid. everyone wants to judge him on his freshman year, you look at him he looks like a kid but , he matches up to everyone in the summer league 🤷🏽♂️ he’s being closely monitored right for his heart condition.
I know there were 2 obvious reaons why Bronny went into the Draft this year. 1. Play with his dad. 2. A very weak draft class now, because the next draft class he would possibly overlooked.
@@javarzshinall9396 Only reason "traffic cone" Reaves the one other teams ask for in a trade is cause he's the least player trash Lakers willing to trade away.🤣
Now bronny another story. Not sure whats happening. But don't see 3 and d player nor great IQ, some possessions he had he could of made a better decision kenet will contributing right away
Bronny is a little out of position on defense sometimes, and is late to closeouts which is why he has fouled a 3 point shot everygame this summer league. The shot will come but it is almost like he playing nervous, like he is stiff out there, needs to loosen up and let it fly !
BRONNY just need to keep playing keep shooting n eventually his talents will align with the competition n the environment... BRONNY just stay focus n play your game brother 💯
A lot of the games they won dlo was running the offense a lot of the games they lost in the playoffs it was predictable iso ball down the stretch the key word predictable! predictable predictable
Here's another trade scenario... Don't nec want this trade... Just options... (3 team trade...Lakers/Bucks/Magic) (1)Lakers receive Bucks: Lopez...(2)Bucks receive Vando/Carter...(3)Magic receive D'lo... *1st: AD 43.2 LeBron 48.7 MC 7.1 Trent Jr (mle)5.2 Dinwiddie 3.3 *2nd: Lopez 23 Rui 17 Knecht 3.9 Vincent 11 AR 13=175.4... *3rd: Hayes 2.5 Reddish 2.5 Lewis 1.9 Bronny 1.2 JHS 3.9=187.4... THEN stretch & waive Wood 3yrs @ 1 mill=188.4... that's 500k under (2nd apron...188.9)... *Note: The nba team trade offers will come off of those outrageous 2 draft pick offers to 2nds/pick swaps and protected 1st...
I want a show about how the lakers have lost so many players kcp kuzma Ingram zubatch coruso Drummond etc do a show on these players and how we got to this point
All those players are replaceable none did anything since they left but miss the playoffs and lose in play in or first round at least Lakers been to WCF finals and win all thier play in games only KCP been successful

Outside Dalton I don’t see a single other NbA player out there right now . Maxwell Lewis has the talent I think but he is far from ready to play he’s really disappointing so far . Bronny can play NbA level defense but his offense is far behind .. everyone else on this summer league roster are overseas or life long Gleague players
Enough with this BS about Bronnys defense. He has gotten clowned many times. The only thing he has going for him is he actually puts in the effort on defense
Bronny will be great off the bench for the lakers. High energy guy that plays defense and can score the rock when he wants. He will be great for us this season
Only the South Bay Lakers. Bronny and LeBron will get their photo-op moment during a blowout home game (hopefully in the Lakers' favor) then Bronny will be shipped off to the G-league, which is still above his skill level right now.
" High energy guy that plays defense and can score the rock when he wants." He couldn't even manage more than 5pt a game at a mediocre USC team & you thinking he can "score the rock when he wants" vs elite NBA players? 🙄🤣
I agree with the point that Bronny will benefit from more structure. I’ve long felt that his game is more mature than the talent that’s been around him in HS and USC, especially at USC. Those dudes blew off more give and goes than the law should legally allow in favor of low-percentage 3 pt shots. Training camp is going to be interesting.
Lakers summer league Coach said Bronny is gonna have a long career. That may be true, but will it even include the NBA? If the Lakers trade Bronny within the next couple of years, his NBA Career would most definitely come to an end, if he hasn’t improved. No NBA team wants a Bust project. I really hope this kid improves. I blame LeBron for this. Bronny should have stayed at USC one more season. But “no”, LeBron is too Concerned about his own Legacy.
@@devin2bendelthey slow bro 😂.. they think everyone has to a superstar/score first player lol…. It seems like Bronny is just trying to be a role player that does all the little things and makes winning plays. Avery bradley/Pat Bev type with a better vertical/ athleticism than both.
in what way the guy is traffic cone in defense reaves played better defense in the playoffs against murray he held murray to his worst shooting performance that series he just hit the big shot at the right time that makes him looked good
I just want to shed some light on just how garbage and undeserving bronny is of making it too the nba bronny in college ranked 2219th in the nation in scoring. 2219th lmao on horrendous shooting splits thousands of players deserved an opportunity more than him he absolutely doesn’t belong anywhere remotely close to the nba level he was sorry in college and will not be able to compete in the g league at all.
Give Bronny a break - the only he's going to progress and improve as a player is if he plays and gets shots up, make or miss. That's what Summer League is for.
@@justthisguy1948yup him being in the nba is a complete and utter disgrace to add context bronny James was 2219th ranked in the nation in scoring during his college season on terrible efficiency thousands of players outperformed him and somehow he managed to get a guaranteed nba roster spot what a joke
@@hhhhbnhhvvnbn7511 bruh he got drafted based on analytics. Like alot of players. He has a strong build for a guard. A high vertical. Can shoot the 3 and make winning plays. Thats why he got drafted. Plus his dad name helped but don’t discredit what he worked for.
@@wills.9422 "bruh he got drafted based on analytics." 🙄🤣Bronny got drafted cause of his last name alone...so quit kidding yourself. 😑He was never the best player on his HS team or at a mediocre USC team where he couldn't even manage to average more than 5pts a game.😑 Bronny would be a walk on at best.😜
@@kaferrat sure his dad named help, but stop being a hater. Players get drafted all the time off potential. He was highly rated high school player at one of the tops schools in the nation. Oh yeah. Look up Check Diallo, peyton watson, derek lively, aj johnson, mark eaton ppg in college. They all were drafted higher than bronny
We would have Murray if we would have traded Reaves we could have stared maxx at the 2 we would have been better off in my opinion ARis an over hyped undrafted free agent he will never be a All Star!
Bronny will improve as the season goes on, people need to chill hes only 19. There were shots that he attempted during the game that were good shots they just didnt fall. His athletic ability is there. He has upside regardless of his lack of scoring, right now. He's going to surprise a lot of doubters wrong. Dalton is showing why he was worth the 17th pick, he needs to stop being careless with the ball, there were times during this game where he lost control of his dribble only to turn it over. That cant happen. His shooting from 3 will be a factor this season...
its sad that we are talking about bronny then the 1st round pick. bronny being in the nba is making the leaugue look like a handout league for if yo daddy is the face of the leauge. what a joke the lakers have become lol
Bronny isn't going to be an NBA player. He seems like a great kid, though he would be one of the shortest guys in the league. Dalton is the same height as JJ.
Spencer is on the show but no one is saying nepotism. Odd how it's only when it's a POC. (Yes, ik spencer plays pro but he's only here cuz we he's AR's bro)
WOW. Well, I think there's a difference between getting a roster spot on an NBA team when you averaged 5/3/2 on 36% from the field, on one of the worst power conference teams in the nation and getting a zoom call on a fucking youtube channel. You're looking to make everything about race, I promise you it's not that but I wish you the best and hope you can heal from this harmful mindset.
Spencer is there because was just a team mate of Kuhse, and has in sight into him as a player. And Spencer also has played six seasons of pro ball in Europe... stop with the race baiting.
Bronny is trash ppl can defend him all the want but truth is truth, if he wasn't brins son ppl would wiukd be ripping him...JHS has talent and ppl act like the Lakers made a horrible mistake but bronny just needs time huh ? Lol
Why is this guy on the show? Our big problem is we have over valued AR. Should have traded him last season while his value was still high. He got COOKED BY JAMAL MURRAY yet we don't realize he is an unathletic defensive liability and NOT A CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER SHOOTING GUARD! Real fans that watch all season are absolutely over Rob Pelinka. He has made the same mistake on who he values for years-! Reeves is just the latest mistake.
The worst thing about Bronny is that as the 55th draft pick, who would have been better off staying in school basketball wise. He isn't the worst player on the collection of rabble the Lakers have cobbled together to make a summer league squad.
