Damn, at 17 Phelps broke the world record with a 4.11.09. When you think about the height and strength difference between these two it really highlights just how insanely fast this was

🇨🇦 Lorne Wigginton is 17, 5'9" and he was 3rd at Jr Worlds yesterday in 4:12.8 height isn't everything. Marchand went 4:16 @ 2019 Jr Worlds and that was his PB then

Very impressive performance Summer. I wonder what she has for breakfast each day because that is some energy and power to swim that pace. Also a perfect example and role model it’s all about swimming, sports and healthy lifestyle. Strong mind, strong body and lots of hard work / training.

"2nd world record" Where did CBC Sports post the first one?? Also, broadcast quality is a shame. Wish there was better production value for such a monumental accomplishment.

How dare she skip breaths on the second 50 of the butterfly. That is the most absurd, disrespectful thing I have seen in swimming. This girl is truly amazing. I hope she can last as long of Phelps...
