One night, after a snow storm, Tyler had the idea we should run outside & film this video. Well, when I couldn't feel my feet and we were laughing uncontrollably, we called it a night 😂 The next morning, we finished the vid. I love this memory. ❄️
Jada you never disappoint!! Your voice is so incredible so impactful and the fact that you took a summer 69 and broke it down to acoustic version it just makes it even more of a nostalgic song.
Honestly thank u so frickin much for covering this song cuz it reminds me of my childhood, I always remember hearing this song as a kid. This is one of those songs my parents always played in the car when we were going on vacations so when I listen to your cover it really brings back memories. So thank u Jada
Absolutely love how you turned this classic into your own unique rendition. Your harmonics are simply great. Also: I love the video- it's simple but fits the song so nicely!
Great job Jada! You are one of the best female vocalists I have ever heard. I like your covers, and I do not even like most pop music. There are songs I dislike that you have covered, and I liked them when you sang them because your voice is great! Keep up the great work Jada! 😁👍 Edit: I do like Summer of 69 though.
You look like you were having a blast! I smiled the entire song. Brings back many memories... I love it, love your version, love you! Thank you for this Ms Jada
Ah man this song brought back memories haha. This was a great job Jada, love the harmonies between you and Tyler and it just sounded so nice and smooth. Very well done
Lyrics Summer 69 by GeLyn PixY I got my first real six-string Bought it at the five-and-dime Played it 'til my fingers bled Was the summer of '69 Me and some guys from school Had a band and we tried real hard Jimmy quit, Jody got married I should've known, we'd never get far Oh, when I look back now That summer seemed to last forever And if I had the choice Yeah, I'd always wanna be there Those were the best days of my life Ain't no use in complainin' When you've got a job to do Spent my evenin's down at the drive-in And that's when I met you, yeah Standin' on your mama's porch You told me that you'd wait forever Oh, and when you held my hand I knew that it was now or never Those were the best days of my life Oh, yeah! Back in the summer of '69, oh Man, we were killin' time We were young and restless We needed to unwind I guess nothin' can last forever Forever, no! Yeah! And now the times are changin' Look at everything that's come and gone Sometimes when I play that old six-string I think about you, wonder what went wrong Standin' on your mama's porch You told me that it'd last forever Oh, and when you held my hand I knew that it was now or never Those were the best days of my life Oh, yeah! Back in the summer of '69 Oh! It was the summer of '69 Oh, yeah! Me and my baby in '69 Oh! It was the summer The summer The summer of '69 Yeah!
Thank u Jada and Tyler for yet again another incredible cover song. Btw the video of u a tyler is absolutely heartwarming. can't imagine how much you two must've laughed behind the scenes. And I'm pretty sure it also caused for some funny bloopers
Summer of '69. I was newly married. An amazing time. That October I marched with 300,000 people in the anti-war Moratorium in San Francisco. Back then I couldn't have imagined the world we live in now. Be well you two.
