Summer Scene - Bon-Accord Silver Band 60th Anniversary Concert 

In June 2023, the Bon-Accord Silver Band held a gala concert in the Tivoli theatre, Aberdeen. Featuring both the 'Silver' and 'B' Bands, the concert looked back on 60 years of music making across the North East of Scotland and beyond. The band were thrilled to be joined by compere Neil Meldrum who guided the audience through the rich and varied programme
Summer Scene was composed by Philip Sparke in memory of the Bon-accord Silver Band's founder, Stewart Watson MBE. In his many years of playing, teaching, conducting and guiding brass musicians across the North East of Scotland, Stewart was the driving force behind the success of the Bon-Accord Silver Band.
Summer Scene was commissioned by the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland.
