Yes to the justification of all the flats if you think that you will get a lot of use out of them. Also, concerning the sponsorships, take on what you can! I don’t noticed sponsored content anymore bc many influencers heavily use them in nearly all of the videos. You’re authenticity will still be apparent in vlogs even if you add a couple hello fresh or whatever brand you work with💕

I find it so strange when people complain that the portion of the video is sponsored.. creators always say it’s sponsored and if one doesn’t like it they can skip ahead. How do people think creators make money? If I subscribe to someone because i like their content, I’m going to hear what they say and support. if it’s stuff I’m not interested, I’m going to skip ahead but not complain because this is how u make a living. People need to be realize this is free content. You don’t go complaining to a network that they interrupt your show with a million commercials 😂

Exactly. I skip the sponsored content as i am outside the US and most of the time it's not relevant to me but I have never complained. I do love watching the Hellofresh cooking segments though!

I agree! Id rather watch someone I like watching talk about something (and support their business/hobby/whatever they label it) versus something absolutely annoying! Plus, it's another way to support someone who's videos I think

I’d LOVE to see a “what i pack for a beach trip” type video. I know you have been going on a good amount of beach trips so it would be cool to see what you pack and how you don’t overpack and tips for packing.

I would love to say I have advice for that but beach trips especially I chronically overpack. If I followed my own advice I’d only bring comfy clothes and wouldn’t bother packing makeup bc I never reach for it but i end up packing “just incase” every time LOL

Personally I've not been bothered or took notice of too much sponsored content on your videos. I actually loved the things/stuff you talked about and can see you genuinely love them too. So I just wanna say that I appreciate your videos ! They're more on the talking side but I guess I personally find them chill and enjoy the realistic everyday stuff whilst working an everyday 9-5.

My husband and I each got these candles as a gift for Christmas one year. His smelled wonderful, and I hated the scent on mine lol. So I hope you like your scent. They last a long time too.

those tan TJ Max slide-like shoes are so cute 😍 I would keep those for sure!! $20 can’t go wrong! I would keep all the shoes to be honest, you can never have too many work shoe options considering how much time we all spend at work a week!

Hi Amy! Hope all is well ☺️ , I have missed your vlogs!! In regard to the shoes, I do think the white ones are cuter and definitely a keeper! Although if you will walk outside with them a lot I’d probably take them as a back up in your bag until you get to work (and use them for work/office only). As for your nails, if gel and dip don’t work, have you tried acrylic? I used to have the same problem but with dip mostly. Then again, my last job I was required to wear gloves so that may have been why they came off lol. But I’d say maybe try acrylic and see how that goes? I usually get acrylic set and gel color on top and they last me at least 3 weeks and no issues. Hope all this helps and it was good seeing your content and catching up with you again! Take care xx

I have the same when I have gel-only manicures 😢 but I’ve started doing BIAB (myself) and it works wonders, they stay for like three weeks and then I can peel them off and redo them 😂

You can scotch guard the shoes to repel water and makes cleaning easier

Yes my nails do that. You have to get them to use a de oiler and get dip. I can't remember what it is called. But Google oily nails. It is a thing and I was able to finally find a place where they stay on

Sometimes my gel nails do this too! It's hit and miss on if they stay or not. I have. I do my nails myself and have found that the gel stays WAY better when I do gel extensions on my nails first. It's like the get doesn't want to stick to my natural nails. Now to be fair I have only gotten my nails done in a salon like twice and if I remember correctly they did stay a long time then but idk what I'm doing different at home. It's so weird and I understand your frustration with it!

I have the same issue with nails. I found Organic Nail Bar in Fairfax holds up in regular gel 2-3 weeks for me and gel at other salons last about 3 days if that. They also do Gel-X (more expenive but it last 3-4 weeks)

I have the same problem with my nails (usually happens when ur nails secrete too much oil) try use a rubber base gel it might help a bit😊😊 😊😊

Try shellac vs gel nail 💅🏼 or even powder, they are almost semi permanent and more maintenance though they won’t come off :)

I recently bought some new work shoes too, and two pairs from the ones I bought, were quite slippery. I ended up finding on Amazon these anti slip pads that you essentially peel off and stick to the bottom of your shoes. It’s amazing! It really gives you a great grip and made me feel a lot safer! I think it was like $7 for a 3 pair.

I think Planta is the company that ran the kitchen up at the New Deal Cafe in Greenbelt for awhile. Their food was decent but not groundbreaking by any means.

Try telling the salon that gel peels off for you in a matter of hours... I don't have this happen, at least not like this, but ive heard it has to do with oilier nails, and that some salons can do special prep that makes it last longer... Did they file your whole nail first and use a dehydrator?

The shoes are all different enough that i think you would get wear out of all of them. Keep all! Also struggle with maintaining gel nails for more than a few days, even supposed "biab" which is meant to be the new hardwearing gel. I think its a bodily chemical thing!!

was it just uv nailpolish? because it didn‘t look like a real gel manicure. i have had the same problem with uv nailpolish. i do my nails myself now and use acid primer and the uv nailpolish lasts for 3 weeks.

the white "steven" shoes are cute BUT that pattern/textile in combo with only being a slide might 'warp' the shape of the shoe (if you have wide/narrow feet etc) -- the textile IS comfortable (like the black ones are going to be so nice to walk in, I had a v similar pair and they lasted me 2 years commuting in DC) but the shape of the shoe might not be the same day after day because of the material.

When I do my nails at home they peel like that within 1-3 days but i went and got gel 5 days ago and they're still going strong. Imo I would see if you could get a refund or a gift card for something else. Also yes keep all the shoes and post as much sponsored content as you want!! What a weird complaint.

The salon is crappy. You should blame the salon. If your gel is peeling off in less than 2-3 weeks it means they violate the technology and use cheap materials. It's either improper nail filing or they fail to dehydrate a nail or they just paint gel as a regular nail polish what isn't supposed to be done (it has to be put as a drop then flatted by a thin brush). Also, some use weak dryer lamps. Gel shouldn't peel off easily it should be filed off by a nail drill. The US has the worst nail techs in the world. After living here I've learnt to do my own gel and it lasts 3 weeks and cost like a $1 per session.

@@amyrauch It is the salon. just out of your video I can see that they applied it thinly and haven't sealed the tips properly. Gel is a chemical that if applied properly will act the same on anyone. I felt just like you about Botox (here in the US doctors made me feel like I was a problem, I breath, sweat etc improperly), my Botox have lasted 1,5-2 months while it's supposed to last 4-6 months and it was what my friends abroad had. Then I met an honest doctor she told me #1 in the US doctors dilute Botox heavily (it comes in a powder form) so they can have a larger volume. Guess what, now I'm having my Botox for 5 months because I went to an honest doctor.
