I haven't played WildTails but I'm definitely onboard with Eric's 8/10 for Paperback Adventures and Under Falling Skies, they're both a lot of fun. 🙂 Also as an aside note that there's a fairly good PC version of Paperback Adventures available on Steam. It has a few minor rules differences from the physical game but otherwise is mostly the same game and is a pretty good option if you're looking for a fun word game for PC.
I want to play Paperback Adventures, I love word building and solo games. Don't know of it will be available in Germany though.... But it is on steam so I can try there. I was so hyped about getting " under falling skies" and than I got the worst case of analysis paralysis I ever experienced. I always consider going back... but it needs just to much brain power😅
A somewhat ironic question to ask on a set of reviews of solo games, but how does your group choose what games they should play? I remember you sharing on several podcasts the interesting system you use, but I can't find what episodes you shared it on. My kids love games, but somehow they've all developed wildly different tastes and I'd like to institute something fair.
