My Dad would have LOVED catching that crappie. He just loved fishing. I was 10-14 yrs old and we would head up to northern Wisconsin for our vacation. My Mom wasn't a huge fan but God Bless her she didn't complain. Hayward, Wisconsin, the home of the giant Muskie, the HOF, and a bunch of BEAUTIFUL LAKES. We tried Smith Lake. That one was not too good for us. Then we tried Little Spider Lake and BAM!! We had a week of massive fun. The camp/cottages we stayed in we nice. One decent bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Plus the "Inn-keeper" also had his house right there as well AND would open his basement up. It was a bar, it had a disc bowling game, and a PIZZA OVEN!!!!! We'd go at say 7pm and my Pops would have a beer, my Gramps would hang with me. My Grandfather was/is my BEST FRIEND as a kid. BUT that's another whole different story. Now this place I'm referring to we were there in 1980-83, so I'm sure it's either changed, gone, or combined into a giant resort. Anyway it was a amazing place. We caught so many fish. My Dad FINALLY GOT HIS MUSKIE. BUT it was 2 inches short of the legal limit. I now do a catch and release system. For example where I live now a friend and I hit a river and a nabbed a HUGE Northern Pike. 50"+. Plus a huge belly full of eggs. Now had I "Mounted" her, Yeah it may look cool AF, BUT how many little fish got destroyed? I couldn't do it so I let her go. I took a few pics. That's enough. The experience of catching her on a lightweight spinner combo was INSANE. Had my buddy not jumped in the water???? She was TOO HEAVY to hoist her out. But AGAIN the fun!! Fishing is a GREAT WAY to bring a family together. Relaxing out ona boat at 5am-10am in the cool misty morn. is awesome. So many things can happen with Father's and son's. Mother's and daughter's. AND Mother's and SON'S as well as Dad's and Daughter's too. It's NEVER about gender, or any BS, it's about families connecting and just having FUN.

Can you guys make a show on the process of finding fish from A to Z when you go to a new lake?

Determine seasonal movements. In winter=deep basin. Pre spawn=first break with weeds adjacent to spawning areas. Spawn=outside edge of heavy cover adjacent to deep water. Summer=main basin adjacent to and close to first break outter weed edge. Fall= bottom of first breakline, 10-25yards into basin. Sharper the break the better.

I'm watching the early spring crappie episode uncle Als talking about the pinky hair jig!!! My aunt and uncles neighbor Myron used to talk to us when we would visit i was really getting into the fishing actually was young and very into the fresh water multi species angling. Myron told me about this jig for crappie that was so good it barely hit the water and you had one hitting it! It was the pinky he had one he gave to me I still have it never used it gonna make a bunch this month with my son!! Myron has passed since and I often think about that day he introduced me to and shared his experiences fishing! Im a life long in-fisherman, Linder angling edge atudent!! Just thought that was cool, love you guys!!!
