I'm the same way with clothes and jeans! At periods over life, I didn't have any money for clothes. It's hard for me to purge. I also majorly fluctuate sizes. I decided to keep things I loved and may need into 2 boxes and put them I'm the garage. That way they are out of my closet, but I still have them. Love your videos, Karrie!!! 💖

I’ve seen some people train their dogs to ring a bell they have attached to the wall to signify needing to go out. Really awesome cleaning motivation. I’m so glad your kids are feeling better. I always felt helpless when my son would be sick. Have a blessed week😊

I haven't had anytime to binge any Netflix series, been so busy with school, the kids and home. But I miss finishing those Netflix series in 2 days haha. So glad the kids are doing better, our entire family caught the flu last month and it was rough, both hubby and I along with the 2 girls got sick the same time and, I can only thank God for bringing us through and giving me the strength to take care of myself and the girls during that time. That flu shocked us, because my husband hadn't been sick in over 10 years and that's without taking the flu shot, we missed getting covid and ended up with the flu lol how ironic 😅

I’m so glad the kids are better. I don’t check my instagram often enough. Comedy and True Crime are literally what I watch. My husband likes sci-fi and action movies. I never could get on board. 😂

I’m currently doing a challenge where I get rid of the number of items in my house that matches the date. Like today I threw away 5 cups that I never use. Tomorrow I’ll find 6 things to get rid of.

I feel that in doing this, I am supporting you to be a stay at home mom, raising your kids and being a great wife and mom. And that is something to be proud of! Girl, I just started watching that as well!! My daughter begged me to watch it and I was like no, not my type of show!! But OMG, I freaking LOVE it!! Took a couple episodes to get used to it!! My teen daughters got sick like two weeks ago, one had a bad cold with a mild fever and then my other daughter comes home at lunchtime with a sore stomach and that evening she had a fever that was 38.8 and omg I could feel the heat radiating off of her. So I gave her Tylenol and checked an hour later and she had a temp of 38.5 and that’s when I got scared and I gave her Advil then finally at 11pm her fever broke. But she was like this two nights in a row and even though my one daughter is 18 and my youngest 15 I still stayed up all night watching over them, it’s only the three of us but they will never outgrow my bed ❤ glad that yours are ok 🌻

I too cleaned put my closet.... i put all my winter clothes into zilpoc spacebags... i vacum out the air and place them in bins to and the stay fresh and alot of clothes fit in the bins that way.... i love spacebags.... i use them for my big comforters that are only used in winter so i can put them away with little space being used up in my small home...❤️

The babies being sick is the worst. My son used to have sigh fevers for no reason that we could find. He finally outgrew them. But he's go as high as 105 and 106. So hard on mom. I'm glad they're feeling better. Great video. Lots of great motivation. Have a great week ahead.

Hey Karrie, I didn't even realize I missed this video...I have no idea how 🤷 but I'm also on a journey to declutter my whole house this summer. I've done the guest bedroom and turned it into the toy room again, got rid of the bed and so much stuff, that was last week. And today I did the master bathroom and bedroom and closet and my goodness I had so much stuff that I was able to let go. Thanks for a great video

My 2 younger boys share a room and they have a tiny closet so I pack up their winter stuff during the summer and pack up the summer stuff during the winter. I have done it that away since my older boys were little as well it helps when you have small spaces. I also pack up clothes my older boys out grow and pass down to my younger boys when they get in that size.

As for Stranger Things, my husband and I started watching it pre-Covid and kind of shrugged and said “heh” but continued to watch the weirdest series that we have ever watched and got hooked- it’s one of those shows that just sucks you in even when you don’t want to watch it! It has no true descriptor when you check to see the plot of the series like Game of Thrones or The Black List- you know what I mean, nothing to let you know what it’s really about so you keep watching to try to figure it out and boom!- the next thing you know your hooked. LOL! The hangar Jack is one I have used for years- depending on if I had a hanging rod in the laundry area in each house we lived in (retired military family), I do this now since my laundry area is just big enough for the washer and dryer. Minimalism isn’t about having nothing on surfaces or in your closet, it’s about getting rid of things you no longer use, are repeats or are superfluous to daily living like: having 3+ sets of pots and pans, multiple baking sheets but you usually only use 2 at any given time, dozens of towels but you generally only use 7 bath towels weekly and 7 dish towels weekly but have way more than that, knickknacks that are so dusty you don’t see them anymore because they we good when you bought them but you have no interest in them any more (hence the dust all over them), etc. After 39 years of marriage I can say that the past 5 years have been a purging of stuff we just held onto for “just in case” and truly, my husband had a harder time with purging anything because we were so broke our first 25 years of marriage that when we bought something we never got rid of it. Waking into our house and seeing just the things we truly love out and knowing there are not dozens of bins and boxes or closets stuffed with items we no longer use gives us a sense of peace. Our rule is now the old “one item in mean one item out”, if we buy something new, we have to get rid of something “old” before we bring the new in the house- whether it’s clothes, household items or decor.

Hey Karrie, it’s so funny what Zoey does to let you know when she wants back inside because my dog Pepper does the same thing! Only she sits and paws at the door until my husband myself or my daughters finally let her back inside. We are trying to train her to not paw at the door but it’s not easy. Hey, Karrie!! We have a 4 yr old rottie named Thor who has such a personality too! He and Zoe act so similarly lol!! He also “knocks” on the back glass screen door when he wants in or out and has done that ever since we got him as a 16 lb puppy. I’ve taught him to do so many tricks/behaviors - say pls, tough rottie where he shows teeth and barks, sweet rottie where he gives kisses, show me Elvis where he curls one lip up while taking his ball, smile where he will show all his teeth in a “smile”, the normal dog commands up, down, sit, heel, leave it, etc, and salute where he puts his paw up to his eyebrow in a salute. He’s such a fun dog and a huge mama’s boy!! I love him like u love Zoe! ❤️ As for the minimalist thing, I, too, have tried to take stuff off the counters, and it makes me anxious lol. There is a channel here on RU-vid called Clutterbug. Cass teaches what the diff organization styles r and how to organize effectively for those “bug” types. She has been such a HUGE help to me in organizing for my home in the ways mainly of organizing for my hubby and kids organization types. Once I figured out what bug they were and organized for that bug type, the constant fight over the house staying organized totally disappeared!! My hubby is a ladybug so he will throw his stuff in an open bin or basket, but he’s not going to organize like I do as a cricket where everything is labeled and in closed organization. If my hubby has to open a drawer to put something away, he’s less likely to do that whereas he will absolutely toss stuff in open bins. My boys r the same way. I can not stress enough that once I started putting organization systems in place that reflected each person’s bug, way way less conflicts and way way less messes!! Life changing!! There’s a short quiz that will quickly sort out which bug everyone is and is very easy to take on her channel. As for show suggestions, we don’t do Netflix, but if y’all have Prime, two shows that we really enjoyed were Longmire and The Last Ship. Longmire is kinda like Yellowstone and The Last Ship is about what it would be like in a true pandemic. We watched it before Covid came along so we looked at Covid with diff eyes after having seen that show. It was EXCELLENT!!

🤣🤣the vacuum pushing the tripod...no biggie ! At least you got clean floors out of it 😁. We love and hate shows like married at first sight....we get addicted to watching them for a while, then get annoyed and stop, haha. Awww, the poor kiddos ! 😢 Zoey lovvvess her spot by the window. Def understand not wanting to replace the doors until she stops jumping, plus they are working just fine ! It is a cute little piece of her personality. Heck yes...can't wait for your bedroom makeover. Look at you multitasking folding laundry and playing with the dogs 😆. The kitchen and closet both looked great.

So glad the kids are feeling better. My husband and I just finished part 1 of season 4 of Stranger Things and I loved it! Keep watch. Some other shows I like are Sweet Magnolias, Ginny and Georgia and Firefly Lane. If you are scared to get rid of clothes, pack them away and if you don’t ever need them or miss them, then you will feel better about getting rid of them. I feel better parting with things if I know i can give it to someone that needs it.

That is the same mindset I am having with decluttering. My weight changes so much I am hanging onto a couple sizes. I read you’re supposed to have 80% of your closet containing clothes you wear. So if you haven’t touched it in a month the you’re supposed to toss it. 😱😅 difficult. Lol but my bulging closet says do it.

Karrie, thought I'd share this. Walmart has washable rugs. I only saw 5x7's. They are really nice. They come packaged in a nice zippered bag. I think they were 85.00. Compared to the WASHABLE RUGS they are a steal. I can't afford WASHABLE RUGS, but these I can. They are also nonslip. Just thought I'd share. Great video as always! ❤️🤗

I also try to reach 10,000 steps a day, but don’t always make it. I love when I do the Fitbit gives off fireworks! 💥 We also walk in the evening which helps.
