@braddangolf, You have given highly matured and fine answer. Today I realize that ' swan Co. ' has upgraded its R & D. This is evident from ur fantastic play. Thanks for upload.
Thanks for your videos. You play with sensitivity. I like the tone too; it is a little thin, but round and bright. Can you say a few words about the air tightness of the Swan versus Hohner and Suzuki?
I initially purchased the swan 12 holers for practice only, as they are quite cheap. I now use them more than my more expensive chroms. Do not let the cheap price put you off, as they are a pretty good chromatic.
Did you do anything to tighten up the leakiness of this harp?? I have one too and like the feel of it and even the sound but it takes great effort to play. Example: I can play my Swan for about 30 mins, Honer 260 about 2 hours, Susuki SCX 64 ALL Night Long!
Hi! Real nice tone!! Super crisp!!! Great ochestration and playing technique!!! What mic and recording equipment did you use. Thanks for an 'Old Standard' inspiring rendition! Godspeed! Bernie
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give my Suzuki SCX-48 9. My Hohner 270 8. and my Swan, 7. This of course is only my personal opinion. Others may have a different view. Regards Swan.
Underated chrom. +points smooth slide action, easier 2 bend notes on, nice tone, easy 2 strip and assemble, and CHEAP! Neg Points, none really, apart from maybe thinner chrome than suzuki, and pos thinner reeds.Own 2 and luv em. Break in easy 4 1st wk, eg dont overblow. Mine still in tune after 2 years, and I play em every day. When they do go out of tune , ill just buy new, as it will prob work out cheaper than getting em tuned.. Talk 2 Geof at RUMC, Gud Guy thanks 4 comments. Swan
