We have a tiny company in the US that makes a full range of chassis braces for the ST/RS called TB Performance. They make some really great (and really expensive pieces). I love my booty bar and I had it powder coated in Nitrous Blue. It looks amazing.
It is an item geared towards ultimate performance. If your priorities are less about that and more about transporting large items then don't do the mod simply. Or buy a van
You will definitely feel the difference when you push the car a bit beyond normal driving. Small addition to the info you provided; as far as I know the ST does not have those plastic flaps in the felt, you have to do "x marks the spot" 2 times on each side
