That doesn't make any sense in the slightest because generally, when a whole band of cops are being called and there is reportedly something very dangerous going on, they have to keep their guns pointed in case the suspect has lethal weapons. Yes, shit happens, but you can't blame every police officer about it and not every problem has a non-lethal outcome.

I remember a long time ago one of the first swattings to have a new story and they had an "expert" and what he said was so absurd and inaccurate. It happened via Xbox live and he said something like "Yeah once the hacker gets access to your Xbox he can do just about anything" But the real reason it was happening was because Xbox Support was giving out people's information linked to their Gamertags easily when the people trying to swat said people would impersonate them and get them to read out their information or various other ways. But never ever did they "hack into an xbox"

Anonymous 911 calls should be traced to the owner if they end up being false and the perpitrator should recieve a felony as well as mandatory prison time. Those people literally put innocent lives at risk. I wish I could become a bounty hunter specifically for those people.
I think the news channel should have pointed out how incredibly stupid swatting is. You're not only wasting your, the streamer's, the viewers' and the police's time, as well as tax dollars, but you're also causing a situation that could potentially be lethal. Not to mention what you're doing is illegal and you could be charged for it.
