@JewBagel You are wrong, even with 5 stacks, his 3rd skill wont kill. that monster will always survive with 1 HP. So in my opinion its not camparable with molong.
They just need top tier players to spend a few thousand each to try and pull all the new op meta relevant mons and they’ll nerf him into the ground when cash flow slows down. It’s a marketing tool they’ve done it for years now. Lol.
@ano anom it was only a fix if they did literally no testing with mons that they were adding, which either shows com2us as incompetent or they already knew and wanted to make as much cash as possible.
He's a nat5 Icares. People keep comparing him to Mo Long, but I think he's closer to a buffed Icares. Icares s3 steals 50% of her HP to deal dmg to a target that ignores def and heals herself. His s3 steals 50% of target's HP to deal dmg to the target and heals entire team for the stolen HP amount. Icares has an AOE heal with low CD. He has AOE heal with low/no CD. Mo Long is still unique and strong in his own way. Mo Long has an AOE stun with strip and two multi-hit skills. When Mo Long gets a violent proc, he will most likely do something bad to your team or a mon (AOE strip/stun, def break, RA). If this mon gets a violent proc, he will just strip a single buff from a single target since his s3 will be unusable if he just used it and will have 0 Knowledge. So violent on him wouldn't be as good (not like he needs extra turns to reduce his 0 CD skills/passive). Icares on violent is good, because it helps her to cycle back to heal again for next turn and to use her s3 sooner. I could see triple revenge on him as a good alternative to violent. Would give him chance to revenge and steal a buff to increase his Knowledge for his next turn and let him use his s3. Vamp Trevor or Leo could be a good counter to him so they can leach HP and buff their attack after he reduces their HP.
Well put. Comparing him to Icares is the right choice. As for rune build on him, it can be the most random thing, because he neither needs Vio, nor Swift, nor Despair. So you can really go anything else. Tripple Will SPD/HP/RES, 100%res, or Revenge runes, or Energy, or broken, anything really. He's definitely a very strong unit, but as you said, Molong still holds his own and is superior in many regards. I bet com2us just released that unit for the whales in top RTA who have Giana to strip stun bomb this unit. When a Light Dark nat5 is needed to counter something, you know what's going on... $$$
@@wordbear3r He is not fine, like at all. 50% damage plus heal and no cooldown on it. Its broken. If your team has full will runes he is at instant 4 knowledge , all it takes is one enemy monster with will runes and he has instant 50% damage on an enemy.
@@savagesadistic5120 yeah for turn one only. Assuming he gets turn 1. Or turn 2. Easy to nuke down and kill. Hes more of a one trick pony than anything else. He needs knowledge every turn for that skill to be effective and hes only effective really once. After that 50% decreases its not another 50% its 50% of the 50% hp that exists and so forth he becomes super weak in one turn and with the amount of monsters that can heal their entire team in one turn or anything really the amount of heals etc that exist in team comps and revives makes him good only once in a cleave team to use. Use him to cleave in turn 1 in area and guild war or siege and then finish with a second aoe dmg dealer. Another cleave the fire I think is better having a max hp destroy of 50% Same thing but instead of healing it just destroys 50% of the enemies max hp that's far better than only doing 50% of the max hp. You cant heal destroy that's an instant loss of 50% hp right there that cannot be healed ever while his if you don't kill in your turn can be healed and buffed etc in one turn making him..useless after that.
@@yulfine1688 First of all he isn't easy to nuke, he is an HP based tank. Its VERY easy to stack his knowledge back to max. You can also run him with any mon that blocks heal, silences, resets, etc and enemy heals don't matter. Plus in RTA with Molong he is an instant and almost guaranteed kill because of how many people run will or shield will.
I think Bolverk is doing exactly what COM2US intended: deterring the overuse of immunity in RTA. Double immunity has been way too popular recently, and especially with Amelia. At least Woosa and Velajuel can be countered with simple buff strips, but Amelia really didn't have a perfect counter. This new thing now makes people think twice before pulling a fast Amelia pick. People compare him to Molong, but if the enemy doesn't bring any AOE buffers, Bolverk doesn't really do anything. Although his cooldowns can't be reset, he is still controllable with CC combos. He is right now an upgraded Chilling, and he is only situationally OP. I doubt he'll be getting nerfed anytime soon.
Compleately agree with you. People are always crying about new monsters being OP. In this video all i heard was how op is he, not how jew will go about countering him.
the problem is you are forced for turn one then or turn two and surviving and hes only good one time really. After that his skill no longer does that much anymore same with the fire I don't think hes op at all really hes a one trick pony use him once and then its up to the rest of your team to finish off.
The 6:30 explanation is the reason he has the water lightning emp going before mo long. It's based on current HP if you don't have 5 stacks, so if you reckless assault then use his 3rd with only 3 stacks you wouldn't kill. But if you use his 3rd skill first then reckless kills instantly.
I summoned Bolverk when it was first released but I never ended up using him. I decided to rune him last week after just having him 6*'d and doing nothing and honestly I didn't realise how good he was. I actually have mine on a rage broken energy set on attack crit dmg attack (1.7k attack and 194 crit dmg) and he's really good in TOA especially on the later stages. Same with guild type content.
This is a meta changer unit.. we're tired of seeing Every time molong woussa perna Hathor yonhong seara triana ... on every match. And it's skills are conditional with the number of beneficial effect, and easy to counter with Oblivion. So why not starting a new meta or just ban him.
Just got one, evolving it right now, random scroll on shop, get envy babes, if I had mine evolved I would definitely let you play with it if you wanted, but since I evolved a monster recently it will take me a while
Hey Bagel! I have been watching your channel for about four years now and I absolutely love how much your knowledge and editing skills have improved. Keep up the hard work!
Definitely a good counter to Amelia. Her passive gives her entire team immunity so he gets 4 stacks per her turn. He would also be a counter to any AOE Immunity so even Triana or Harmonia would have a challenge. Also the fact that his first skill (fully skilled up) has a 100% strip rate is crazy.........
There's actually no problem with the mo- long like skill. The problem is first: The heals. That is actually overdoing the monster. its like "we can't choose if he bruises or he heals so maybe both" Second is the fact that the stacks are very easy to put to 5. Nerf it a little for e.g. everytime they are attacked they lose 1 stack. Or if that's too big then just put a goddamn cd on the 3rd skill cause that's bullshit. make it like 3 fuckin turns com2us :/
I know this is old and perhaps Jewbagel already knows this and probably won't even see it but he reason Bolverk plays before Mo Long is cause he cannot kill so he reduces enemy hpby 50% and Mo Long then finishes off the target
I tested the 5 stack MAX hp and it doesn’t work. I did it on a rina with 2% hp left and her shield. It couldn’t even break the shield. I tried it on her with 50% hp left and it did much more than break the shield. I’m not sure what it means by MAX hp since that’s not what it does. Someone explain?
pure water is an insulator, maybe that's why he's not eletrocuting himself since the sodium and iron among other things in plain water makes it a conductor o-o
This guys is balanced. Doesn't work well without a team. He is a super support that deals damage, that's for sure, but let's say woosa is shot down, he can now only do that third skill once every...? Don't get me wrong, he is super strong, definitely meta-breaking as Woosa/Velajuel on enemy teams give him stacks. Pushing past that, I think he is strong because he is very anti-meta atm. If the enemy brings a faster team or a defense heavy team that doesn't rely on hp or buffing 50x, than he doesn't do much...
you mean like how they do with every new mon...they make em all super strong so ppl spend hella money to summon then a week later after they already got everyone's money they come out with an update saying how sorry they are for not addressing how strong they are....yadda yadda yadda...
@@stickyone11 they aren't op at all...50% can be healed in one turn easily he does it once on turn 1 or turn 2 and then hes useless after that unless you rebuff him with 5 more things which is easy but then his skill no longer does 50% of the health they do 50% of the hp they have left over. Hes an extra nuker like the fire except his damage can be healed while the fire cannot be healed. The wind one is useless because while its 5 stacks to guarantee ignore defense so what? its a single target with his skill one...isn't that great. The light is meh for its healing so far and the dark can be good if you can stack his passive. Otherwise the fire and water are the only 2 good ones for either fast teams or slow cleaving teams in arena or guild. I wouldn't use them in rta where in one turn everything backfires unless you build them so fast youre guaranteed turn 1 no matter what and that's assuming that after your team goes the other team is mostly or completely dead If not real fast heals and strips can ruin those monsters almost instantly.
Com2us has to stop releasing nat5 before extensive testing to make sure they not overpowered! Then they nerf the OP nat5s after people spent big money trying to pull it,which makes 1000s of people QUIT! This is what makes games die.
From my perspective, people are crying. Yes, he is strong, but he is not unbeatable. If you just dont use so much buffs so often, he wouldnt stack. Especially the last replay, where water uni gives immunity every turn...
hes good one time that's it though on one monster its not even an aoe hit...That's turn one you basically need to nuke one monster at best after that hes almost useless again once the enemy reapplies his stacks they can kill or stun or sleep or anything lock him down they can nuke him down...hes basically an oberon that can single target 50% hp instead of an instant kill..
hey Jewbagel, the last video I posted to my RU-vid channel, I would appreciate it if credit were to be given in the description with the link to my video. Thanks :) I like your opinions on him and your commentary, I suspect that Com2uS will probably nerf this guy soon. edit: unless you found it in the SW rta battles tab, then disregard the first statement :)
Got mine from X-mas Pack!! I am wondering not how to use him. but rather what RTA team comps to use him with. He gets bound to be banned nearly every time. So who is a solid 4 that I can use? How do you play Bruiser style? Sniper style? Cleave style? in RTA I am a C2 player
They really want to find counter to woosa and water panda. Light iprit was not it exactly... and water jack can only do certain amount. I asked a certain player who is 3red star and used water sky dancer all last season what he thinked of these monster and he said they will make them weaker because it was a mistake to make them like this. He is my most want monster now. Over dark sky dancer and wind orcal.
If you want to see player who uses a lot of free monsters than he is a player you should watch. He doesnt use water sky dancer much anymore. But he does play with dark ninja very well.
OBS Studio for whatever reason activated part of the scene it shouldn't have. That has nothing to do with this, that's why I blacked it out. It literally randomly activated it in the middle of when I was recording the video.
wait what...how did that Ragdoll torrent kill Garo after garo just went and tried to stun....so that shoulda reset his passive? ...I played it back many times what am I missing? if Garo takes a turn his passive resets regardless without oblivion so why didn't that torrent trigger his passive?
why could the ragdoll at 7:50 1shot the garo without proccing the passive? the garo just moved before that and used skill 2, so his passive should be up. What am I missing?
The reason he spd tune Bolverk before Mo long is because reckless into Bolverk will not kill the enemy without 5 stacks. Bolverk with shield will and woosa 3rd will only give 4 stacks if the enemy has no will runes, 40 current hp is not enough to kill if he goes after Mo Long
Peoples (The noob) should stop complaining about those new nat5, remember when laika was op a lot of players was crying and now his shit. I prefer seeing op elemental nat5 than ld ones who carry some c1 noob to g2.
To be honest I dont think it's crazy strong I think it's just because people keep using buff teams. Not weak by any means just not super op like everyone is saying.
If it makes you feel better I didn't know either, but I did understand that if you has 5 Stacks he would do more damage significantly more damage I mean for me that kind of just made simple sense, but since I don't have him the context and how that worked just flew by me even though I did read the skill like 20 or so times but I don't see him either not something to worry about
I feel like the AI for the Lightning Emperor will be stupid. I think it will just try and use the third skill every turn, but it won't do much damage with 0-2 knowledge stacks. Also i would like Com2Us to make a Thunder Empress as a support monster that will give buffs all day and synergize very will with the Lightning Emperor
Got ela from a prem pack. A month later wind druid comes out. Gets mo long from stones. A month later water lightning thief comes out. Coincidence? I think not.
He is com2us way to change the meta and make people bring no buffers and instead aoe beneficial effect block, like, idk fire dryad, remains of how before choke used to be op bc was one of the few moms with immunity, until more mons came out and everybody used immunity, now they release a monster that has aoe block beneficial effect but no one uses it bc why make a fast aoe block when you can just let the woosa move first and then remove it, but now you don’t want him bc lightning boi will mess you up so make a faster aoe block, which makes me think of they will release more mons to block buffs
he need a cooldown for his 3rd skill like if you use skill in 1 knowladge 1 turn colldown instant use but if you use at 5 knowladge 5 turn cooldown is fine with him
