1) Every pendulum card has scale number on it. 2) You put 2 pendulum cards, 1 at each spell pendulum zone, (the one with higher number you should put it on the zone that placed in front of your right hand) 3) You can special summon(its called pendulum summon) as much monsters as you want from your hand or face-up pendulum monsters from your extra deck whose levels are between the scales ( lower scale < level < higher scale) 4) When pendulum monsters are destroyed or tributed they are not sent to graveyard but are sent to extra deck instead (they must be face-up while at the extra deck) 5) Pendulum cards are treated as monsters and spells at the same time while they are in the hand ,on the field they are treated according to their zone (monster zone or spell pendulum zone)
Since when did pendulums have their own spot in game because I have link evolution and the far 2 spell zones are pendulum spots but can also be used for normal spells.
I once dueled a guy way back when dueling network was a thing who got all 3 out on the third turn then tributed them to get that instant win guy out... honestly he was drawing so much that for the first two turns I thought he was playing an exodia deck

6 if you have seven or more you must discard before doing anything else but one of his spell cards, the one in the middle allows both players to have as many cards as they want.
