Remember the maintenance guy works for the owner who needed this tenant to be served so I’m pretty sure he had no problem playing along! Sad that these are the tactics you have to employ sometimes but people often KNOW they’re not paying rent and will do everything to keep from getting served court papers, she lost that day though!
👏👏 That was so smart 😂 Sad you had to go through that but it is what it is!! You wouldn't have to do that if people would just pay their rent, and if you are unable, there are Organizations that will help you, BUT you have to help yourself 1st!@
1963 I was 7 yo and watching national news with my folks. Bull Connor, Sheriff of Jefferson Co. was directing his force to fire hose children, women and men who were peacefully protesting on Bham sidewalks. As soon as ppl got up they were hosed again. It was so violent and I was sobbing and asking my mom over and over why they were doing that and she told me it was hatred and I've never forgotten what she said next, They're doing this while the whole nation watches and they're proud of what they're doing. Imagine what they do when innocent non violent ppl are locked away and no one sees it but them. I remember the 4 girls dying when the church was fire bombed. My dad had moved our family here bc he took a job with NASA. We drove to Ft. Payne, AL to Little River Canyon one Saturday and there was a huge billboard with cut outs of 3 Klansmen that said, The KKK welcomes you to Ft. Payne, AL. My dad looked at Mom and said. WTH Mary where have I brought us. My folks were white which if u lived here in this Era u know they had to be bc no black ppl lived in DeKalb County then....and why they didn't. My parents grew up on farms in N. Dakota and they were appalled by a lot of what they saw and worse heard. I worked with a girl in Hsv from Dekalb Co. Few yrs back. One day she whispered to me as I was viewing news online.... Imagine if white ppl had the NAAWP like the blacks have NAACP. 😮. I actually laughed and said, We do and we've had it for centuries. She was 30 yrs young !! She actually got a little pissed at me. Oh well. I've been naiive enuf for 40 yrs or so thinking we've evolved. Sad but true. And of late in this state...goes without saying. 😢
