Oh gosh, I'd have definitely cleaned that too! We've just come back from a Parkdean holiday in Devon too, your caravan looks nicer than the one we had. Loved the design of the kitchen and living area, that fireplace is lovely. It was the same on the site we were at, really steep hills and not accessible at all. Ooh that squeaky bed would have wrecked me! I'm really intrigued to know what the issue in the bedrooms were. Such a shame about the customer service. I've always had a great time at Parkdean, but then again, I've never needed customer services. You paid the same as what we did for a 4 night break, without the sun codes. I thought the caravan was lovely and have only had good experiences before on a different park (isle of wight). This time the caravan was so dirty and had bedbugs 😬😬😬 The lack of customer service or care has really shocked me. I just hope the caravan hasn't been let out again this week without it being treated. It was such a horrible experience and I still can't truely relax now.
@@tinymouse.travel oh gosh no way! That's my biggest fear when staying at these places. Absolutely awful if they have let it out again. I seem to remember a bed bug situation in another £9.50 caravan holiday on another channel 🤔🤔I think that might have been a Haven site though. I'd be the same as you, wouldn't be able to relax. It would put me off going on those types of holidays for life! Hope none of your stuff was affected.
It was an awful realisation. I'd been there for two night already, so I lost a lot of items, I just didn't want to take any chances with items that had been in the caravan especially if they couldn't be washed at high temperatures. I've also seen another video where they had bed bugs but in the video they realised half way through the first night. This is the first time I've even found any bed bugs and I've stayed in many similar parks and hotel rooms. So hopefully I was just really unlucky this time but I will be on super alert now checking and double checking.
@@alexbmwfan342 No, it was 26 Devon Country. Right at the very top of the park. It was by a bush but the other side of the bush was the A39 and the park entrance.
Unfortunately. It was the worst experience ever as i was so worried i'd took them home and there absolutely no customer care. Reflecfing back I suspect the cleaner perhaps hadn't been in that caravan at all before i was given the keys. I've since stayed again at another site (as it was prebooked) and it was spotless. So i think i was just unlucky. I have another video which shows the difference. Where are you thinking on going on holiday?
@@tinymouse.travelWell initially we were actually contemplating bideford bay which is why i fell on to your video but i must say your experience has definitely put me off. I've found another in Torquay where the reviews seem consistently good, barr the odd missing thing; which is fine by me as long as there are no bed bugs lol I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience, though grateful you made this video or i may have ended up in the same situation too. Bed bugs really freak me out.
@@AuroraReese.89 I'm glad it helped you choose. Hopefully I was just unlucky. Torquay is great, I made another video where I visited Torquay and the local area. But called it 'travel with me English Riviera'. It's a great area for a holiday. Lovely beaches and so much to see and do
I'm sorry you've had a bad start to your holiday but i hope your new accomodation is nicer. I discovered Westward Ho! A few miles down the road and recomend it for a day trip. I also made a video 😊
