Which Princess ship class would you choose for your next cruise? Sphere, or Royal!? To research prices and book your next cruise, head to www.thecruiseandtravelguy.com.au Watch my Sun Princess playlist here: ru-vid.com/group/PLXgsLgHFTAtLDlWbRzmSdReN0IBNU2wwy
I've never sailed on any cruise ship but the Sun Princess will be my first. Viewing this review, I believe I might prefer the Sphere class ship but I'm also looking forward to trying the Discovery Princess as I've heard great things about it. I was torn between trying Princess cruiseline vs Celebrity but eventually, the cost won me over, and the opportunity to try Spellbound (the new magic dinner show experience, although I will try Celebrity because of the Le Petit dinner show experience because I love food and different places to travel). Cruising is expensive (especially as a solo cruiser). Even cruising with the lesser priced cruiselines and I'm hoping I get my money's worth and I'm not disappointed (as I'm an avid land-based traveler and could go on at least 2-4 trips in the United States for the price I'm paying to cruise as a solo cruiser). I'm definitely looking for solo-friendly cruise lines for any future cruises. I've heard Norwegian has a pretty decent solo program but can nickel and dime you (which would get annoying very quickly). I'm also interested in going on the Utopia of the Seas to try their Railway Train food experience. Yet again, that seems very costly so I'm trying to figure out the best time of year to cruise it for the lowest price. Ty so much for your videos. It helps to see a solo cruiser talking about cruising because there is such a different avenue it seems solo cruisers must make when enjoying cruising.
We did New Zealand on Royal November last year….too big, too many people, preferred Coral Princess…and the old Sun! Did love the Mini Suite on Royal…the boss and I loved sitting on the lounge watching the Pacific Ocean go by!😊
My favourite Mini suite was on the Coral, but it would have to be close to free - to get me back on the Royal. I'm waiting for Crown & Discovery, rather than do another Summer cruise from Sydney to New Zealand
I hope so too - either her or her sister Star Princess. it is technically possible. Let’s see what Princess has in store for our summer 2026/27 season.
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy I went on the Sydney cruise ship ports schedule about a week ago to search for the 26-27 season and it appears we are getting Royal back (I wanted Majestic or Discovery again). I think the other ship was Crown. It also appears that Royal's first cruise of the season will be as late as November 25th 2026 and she will leave our shores on March 28th 2027 so a very short season. I did not bother looking at the dates for Crown, if that is indeed the other ship Princess are sending. I am hoping these dates and ships are wrong and that Princess will send some more modern ships to us.
@@ColetteNicoll We have never sailed on Royal but have done four cruises on Majestic (our ship!) We also did one on Caribbean Princess which was not as good a ship as Majestic. We are booked on Royal in November because Majestic is not coming. What did you not like about the ship? We are also booked on Discovery for February 2026 and are really looking forward to sailing on her.
We’ve sailed on all Princess Royal class ships in their fleet except Majestic. But, we have two cruises scheduled on Majestic next year 2025. We love the Royal Class ships and prefer the layout to the Grand Class ships. We have a cruise scheduled for the Sun Princess early 2026. And, we very much looking forward to experiencing what the Sun class has to offer. Thanks for your review.
Thanks for watching! Have you seen my Majestic Princess ship tour and cruise review? Here's the tour: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ETwNmcHXQgA.html and review: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DfRhAHboldg.html Enjoy the cruise!
The best ship I've been on for various reasons was the original Sun Princess. Royal Princess had a lot of issues when I was on it (leaking roofs and floors and various other thngs haha) Can't wait to one day experience the new Sun Princess and obviously as many other ships as possible haha
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy It's definitely nice to have bigger cabins for sure. Haven't been on those really big ones yet. There was just something about the OG Sun that just... Worked.
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy There is an adult only pool and 2 spas and sauna if you walk through the day spa and padded sun lounges all free to use. Also showers and change rooms. One of the reasons I love the ship.
Haven’t sailed on Princess yet but after sailing on P&O (with the Adventure being a former Princess ship) I was really disappointed in the room sizes. You get more room on Carnival, RCI and Disney. That was the main thing that stood out and would put me off sailing their older ships.
