For the double board PLO hand. 1. You need some sort of draw on 2nd board to be betting. 2. Even though your set is most likely good on top board, you're blocking yourself from filling up every card you have in your hand. Ideally, in double board you want like middle or top set on one board while simultaneously having a flush draw or up and down straight draw at the least on the other board. Long story short, you need a piece of both boards, or else you'll find yourself in a lot of spots like this on the river lol
I thought your river bet on the turned set of 9s was perfect and right at the edge of him calling/folding based on his reaction. On the plo bomb pot, good disciplined fold. I’ve seen too many hold em based players go for glory too much in that spot and play it like a hold em hand. I think your opponents played that hand bad actually.
Thank you for another great vlog! You can do a short strategy vid about the 99 hand. I would love to see it. I believe in theory betting 1/3 river is just not a thing. I mean its face up. I am curious what hands you size like that. Flushes? Dont think so. Hands that you bet/fold. Betting 1/3 here is just not enough for reopening the action. Yes it works good against weak players, but thats it. I would also think about how many flushes he has realistically.
Brantzen I am glad to see this video you and I Interacted about one of your last videos. I have played with Kiran a few times at commerce I do not know what happened in the first hand (I paused the video) as I am writing this but I am guessing he is bluffing. Yes Nice Call. Excellent video and a very nice winning session, I am very happy for you.
I like ur videos because there entertaining but me either I don’t like poker I’m more of a blackjack guy hopefully u can do sum in the future! Great content bro keep it up
In the dble board bomb pot you want to exercise pot control if you can Yes you block top set on that board, but you also block the shit out of filling up Anyone with hearts or a wrap straight draw on that board has decent equity against you Add in the possibility that they have you drawing dead on the clubs board and now you're being freerolled as they can scoop but you can at best win half
@@BrantzenPoker i might check-call and see a safe turn before looking to commit It really depends on my position, previous action, etc I can't tell you how many times I've flopped all three pair (not dble board bomb pots) and still run into a set With double board bomb pots you want to be EXTREMELY strong on one board if you have nothing on the 2nd board Given the board you are strong on is so wet with straight and flush draws, it's hard to feel comfortable with just middle set and a blocker to top set, since so many bad cards can hit, you block yourself from filling up AND you don't block your opponents draws If you had some equity on the 2nd board, a weak flush or even two pair, you could then apply pressure, forcing non-nut flushes that have you beat out But, you also run the risk of running into the nuts on that board, and if they have a straight or flush draw up top, now they are freerolling you for stacks
@@BrantzenPoker this dude knows what he’s talking about. I also exclusively play plo nowadays and I was about to say the same thing about pot control and equities on the top board.
@@PokerJeezus it’s automatic that when I flop triple pair, someone flopped a set. Do u think that the villain with top set of Qs should have raised pot on the turn?
@@drdrayfromla99 it depends what he has for the 2nd board, he could be getting freerolled only playing for half Depends on stacks, pot sizes, side cards, specific opponents and their tendencies, etc
The double board play is not recommended. If u don’t have a board locked up (nut nut) your play does not make sense. If you don’t have a board locked up u MUST have something strong on both boards made hand/ strong draw. JJ unfortunately is almost a snap fold/check in that situation
“Not too sad about chopping cuz Marty is a great guy”. You soft!! I stopped watching close2broke because he is too spewy. Funny to see him spew with the J9
