What a fabulous band. The Irish Crowded House. Been catching them live since the 90s. My wife's favorite song was from their debut album Shinebox. I contacted Dave Browne online 12 years ago and asked if he would perform it on our Wedding Day as a surprise. He turned up and boogied on the piano for an hour and a half at our drinks ceremony and made it the best wedding anyone was at.
Funny how an Irish band should write a great summer song. Actually, if you lived here, you'll understand. Whenever the sun does put in an appearance, it is certainly appreciated.
Went to see Roddy Frame mid late 90's at the Leadmill Sheffield and this album was playing. Never heard of them but asked who it was. I like them....and Roddy Frame!!!
I was at Leopardstown Races one evening for a Summer Meeting and Picture House were entertaining. The crowd went wild when they sensed this song was coming up!
I remember I found this when I was six and got amazed. "Woah that's my name!" Listened to it while I was sick and showed it to my mom. Gives me nostalgia
the one on the keyboard is my music and cspe teacher, he took our whole class on a walk on the last day before easter break bc it was hot out and bought all of us ice pops
