I truly ENJOYED both renditions but Mr. Joshua Copeland knocked out the park. I had NEVER HEARD this song b4 but hearing Josh sing just THAT tid bit made me go searching the internet 4 the original artist & I think Mr. John Legend would be PROUD. Well thatz my two cents. These two singers took that one song and clearly made it their own. Ms. Linda has that one school Dottie People's rendition of it that hooked mamma'em in 2019 style. While Joshua soared with the Jason Nelson type style resin in his interpretation, 2020. They displayed two styles yet included all ages of listeners. Side Note* Rell- Ricky Dillard Jr. 😂🤣😂. The challenges this year are different from past seasons. R&B has been added to the mix. Being a versatile singer is very important in the industry. Gospel singers have a place inside the four walls of the church as we know, but then there is space outside the walls for weddings and a variety of other features.

The half and half formats are not fair, we all know that the second part of a song shows more expression and range, most of the people who started the songs out were in the bottom on this episode

I agree it wasn't fair. Both contestants should have sung the same song completely through. The first person set the song up for the second person to bring it home. I didn't like how Sunday best added that twist. It was totally unfair for whoever started the song
