Love your content and have always loved your RU-vid content the most! But the content is getting a little repetitive. Especially if we follow on TikTok, we’ve seen the shoes already and you already unboxed this bag before. That’s the past few unboxings as well. Just some feed back! ❤

This collection was inspired in Africa that is why all the colors, the patterns, the wood handles etc. I think it looks worse on pictures, there are actually some beautiful pieces 😊.

That makes sense, I haven’t been to Africa though it is on my list. I wish they’d have made it more obvious and also, why not use the Ndebele neck rings for inspiration? Why not use the Sade fabrics of the Nigerians? Or was this just a money grab off the backs of the African people?

On another note! This collection is inspired by Africa, Dakar Senegal more specifically! Hence some of the colors and textures… it is very well executed! Not every Chanel bag can be a basic classic flap in a baby pink or light green!similarly to the coco Cuba or Paris Dallas or the Egyptian collections… being such a huge Chanel collector such as ur self I kind of expected more tbh

She has right to speak her thoughts. She doesn’t have to have the same opinion as you. Being a chanel collector doesn’t mean she has to think every chanel collection is appealing. This collection is hideous. I thought the same thing when I saw it, so did my African American girlfriend who is also a collector!

Ahhhhh that makes more sense!! I haven’t been to Africa! It’s high on my list though so I wish they would have made it more obvious and more part of a story like they did with the Paris, LA, Cuba collections. Are there very obvious African pieces like there are with Cuba? (Literally saying “coco Cuba”) because I would have known and been able to appreciate it more, if not, let’s ask why not..? Thanks for sharing. I should have looked into it more, but it’s still not my color palette 🫶🏽

Great video! Also, the new Chanel collection is inspired by Senegalese art. They are paying homage to Africa with this collection. The ombré bag specifically, is inspired by historical African art. Of course, it may not be your taste & that’s fine but please be aware of how you are offending other cultures when you make comments like this ❤️

Absolutely! I thought the collection was very well executed and I loved it it’s the first of its kind and so special! I am shocked at how many of the so called RU-vidrs are so focused on basic Chanel bags and never bother to watch any runway shows or figure out the inspo behind the collections… seems like the focus is on the next “IT” bag vs appreciation for the art behind the fashion

Interesting. Most other comments referenced “Africa” but not Senegal specifically. I have to wonder why the collection story wasn’t more obvious and/or communicated… the words “coco Cuba” was on every item it feels like. 🤔 Monaco, LA, Paris couldn’t have been more obvious, but maybe that’s because I am more familiar with them and recognize it more. But do you feel it was communicated well within the collection story? Thank you for watching. I’d have loved to see the Ndebele neck rings or Sade fabrics of the Nigerians used as inspiration personally… both more my aesthetic personally and more “African obvious” if that makes sense. 🫶🏽

I’m not sure why so many people are giving you hate for disliking the pre-fall collection. I get the cultural sensitivity, BUT, if those bags aren’t sourced from Africa, one could make the argument that Chanel is tittering on the edge of appropriation. Plus, for those prices-honey, no.

Very good point. Regardless of where the inspiration is from it is clearly not my aesthetic, and I think we should all be allowed to like or dislike what we like, or dislike. 🤷🏼‍♀️
