Hi Friends,
I'm so excited to team uo with Janny and Dyanne @Deco Easy for Sunday Funday. This a relaxed playlist. Meaning the RU-vid creators could add whatever they wanted that they had been working on to share with all of you. We will be doing this on the last Sunday of the month. We will see how it goes.
In my video I'm showing you my makeover process of how I get my items ready to resell for my retail booth. And I've added the prices as to what I will be selling them for in my booth. Remember I am not set up for shipping. As I just sell in my retail booth.

Thank you for putting the prices you sell them at! Not only does seeing how you re-work all these things, BUT what you re-sell them for too! Not many people put what they re-sell for and that is my BIGGEST struggle....along with what stencil to use, lol!

Love ALL of your videos. But I was researching linseed oil. Your can says Boiled linseed iil. Research says...Linseed Oil This oil is obtained by pressing the flax plant. Raw linseed oil is safe for human consumption. However, boiled linseed oil is heated and treated with chemicals that make it toxic for humans. Linseed oil is prized among woodworkers for its water-repelling properties and luster after being applied.

You have done it again......I loved the sunday funday.....this had just come up on my screen even tho it was done in July. I must explain myself here, my age has crept up and now I am 92 years and I enjoy all your videos especially since I use to do similar things when I was young around 30 -40 years but only for myself. Back then we did not paint them, we refinished them and removed that ugly varnish.

Hi, I just love your inspiring projects.. I do flea markets and I want to do over furniture make over to resell so far sooo good. I do several farmhouse wood signs and you used a finishing wax on your projects can you tell me the name of the finishing wax you used.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I use Varathane finishing wax. No buffing needed. I do apply two coats to the top of furniture pieces. Just for a little extra protection.

Thank you for watching. I tried lots of different waxes. But I personally have come to love the Varathane wax. It doesn’t require you to buff. So for me it’s just a trial and error kind of thing. And this is the one for me.💕

Oh my Chris is a great salesmen, the fridge is great size and Chris is right now je doesn't have to go to the house for a beer🍺🍺😂 You are right this kind of video's are so much fun😍😍 And normaly I would leave a sticker under my decor but now I also look and take it away😂😂 the rolling pins are almost brand new again😍😍 sooo much decor, love the kitchen decor items😍😍 But..............🤔🤔 mmmm who I'm kidding😂😂I loveeee everything. I use Permeant Matte vinyl that i get on a big roll from Amazon. I use it both for my stencils and vinyl lettering when I do windows. Thanks for asking.

I watched your video again to soak up more details....I LOVE the idea of using a q-tip to get paint down into holes. Yeah, your cat cracks me up because he disappears when he is close to your beautiful hair color. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into your videos. 🥰🌻🥰

WOW Yvonne.... you did a lot of work with all those! One can tell you take great pride in your work to separate them all down to “ brush paint, spray paint or stain”.... then what gets painted white over the black! All the distressing, waxing , top coats .... oh my !!! You need to LOVE THE PROCESS or one would not take the love , patience and time do that! I am in awe with every piece ! Every piece is sensational . How many hours does all that take you when you have that many to do? I can’t imagine ! Your certainly are a “ true crafter and artist”.... I LOVE THEM ALL !!!

Aww.. thank you Jayne for noticing that. It’s usually a three day process. Paint one day, distress one day, wax and for any stenciling or greenery added the last day. Well and one more if you count staging and filming and prices🤓 Yes I do absolutely love it. Every piece I do I love. And enjoy 💝

GingerChickRehab OH YES.... the staging for photos! I remember only to well with my Etsy shop.... all day photo shoots ! For your booth it must be many,: many hours and probably never okay in your eyes! Always moving stuff and staging. I did craft fairs until my shoulder, neck and back said “you fool....we can’t do this anymore”....😢 Well it is amazing and how I wish I was closer to you! LOVE IT ALL!!!

I have learned a lot watching these videos! Thank you for posting and teaching these steps. Can you tell me what the Kilz white paint is? Is it straight Kilz, plain white? It looked a little ivory or antique wht in the video. I also wonder if you prefer a monthly rental booth to just selling online/local such as FB marketplace or local vintage fb pages. I am collecting and working on several of these types of rehab items and wonder if it is worth it to pay for booth rentals or if I would even sell enough to break even or make $. Of course it is nice to have a place to take it and leave it to sell.

Thank you for watching. And I'm happy to answer your question.To share what I did first. I started selling on Facebook Marketplace first. And than I had a home sale. (like a garage sale but I set it up like a nice shop) This definitely helped me build followers who were interested in my product. But I spend every weekend Attached to my phone. At that point I knew I needed a booth. And in my area was blessed to find one when I did. With that being said, I can tell you the social media helps attract people to my both. I keep my Facebook GingerChickRehab Page up to date weekly. That helps a lot. And the booth rental where i'm at is very reasonable I think. So there's my story. I think if one can build a following it definitely helps. Best of luck to you on this venture. Just love what you do. And I'm sure it will happen.

Sorry, I realized I didn't answer the paint question. The Kilz is a paint and primer in one, Ready to Use grab and go from Walmart in Flat White. It's the only place I can find it . Its a soft white and the Varathane finishing wax softens it a bit as well.

@@GingerChickRehab Thanks for the info. I've been collecting vintage for years but use it mostly for my own home or for event decor (I've had a few large scale event set ups). I totally get what you mean about marketplace and trying to coordinate pick ups and all the rest (agh!!!). So there is a pretty good booth option for me but I don't feel I have the volume inventory yet. I love the home sale idea. That might be a fun option to get some things going. I will continue to watch your channel and recommend it to others. Thanks again!

I knew someone would be sad. But I kid you not they are always at my local Goodwill every time I there. Which is almost daily. And they just sit there. I still have mine that I got when I graduated and it is still is original self💝
