Yes, we handle all metals, around half of our financial turnover is non ferrous, we just happen to store a lot of cast iron

We have strict environmental rules on hard surfaces, we are all ruled by our Environment Agency License conditions laying out the rules around surface water, contamination and drainage, we had to switch to impermeable surfaces back in the 90’s when EA licenses were introduced. I can run up the cast pile and have made plenty of videos of myself doing it, I might be a little insane, who knows 😂

I've been climbing up piles of scrap since I was a kid, there are videos on Instagram of me running up every pile in the yard, I call it scrapyard challenge 😂

Not at all, we sell almost everything within 48 hours of buying it other than foundry grades. I carry a lot of cast iron, brake discs and heavy cast because I like having it, even then a lot of the brake discs I bought last week I sold last week as the foundries ordered, I don’t buy much oversize cast these days but I bought some last week and it’s been broken, delivered and will already remelted. I prefer the stock to money in the bank because, for me, it’s better than money in the bank, cast iron doesn’t rust and rot like steel so it’s better for long term stocks. I sold six thousand tonnes to make room for the Copex and I had a lot of rust from the plate and girder that I moved. A lot of people jump to the conclusion that I mustn’t sell because they see a few large piles without considering how I would pay my expenses every month or the fact that my yard would be rammed in a few months. A lot of steel is in and out within a few hours, I have 44 tonne bulk tippers booked to load for Liverpool every day, tomorrow is no exception. I post photos of this on Instagram most days, RU-vid is just an occasional thing for me since I installed the Copex at Easter.
