If the receiver of the goods is not the shipper your contact is with the shipper

Small auto vans , not many around . You will pay a vast premium for the slushy box and most tend to be private or very small company purchases so high spec . Figure 2 to 3 times the price of a manual . Pug/shitron/fart nemo kill the box at 100K ... not good Berlingos etc are ok again dont expect them to last forever . VW are vastly over priced but survive to 200K with servicing .

The company i drive for got 4 brand new Merc 7.5t trucks last year the build quality is shocking, Every week the headlight bulbs blow due to the fact they are shaking themselves to bits, it's been reported and guess what no action from Merc. I thought the Ivecos were bad for electrical faults but Merc are a lot worse and the trucks are less than a year old. MPG on the Mercs ain't brilliant either compared to others I'd have a Daf any day.

Company going bust at delivery . Your contract is with the shipper not the place you deliver to soooooo you will need paying regardless . It would be a massive courtesy to contact the shipper and state the case of its going bump and if items are delivered they become part of the assets to be divided to the creditors so chances are the worth of the items to be delivered will be lost ! .... but not if you return them to sender and charge 50% on top as a return fee .

@godzillas6301 I did manage to deliver the load but I was then told by the warehouse manager that the company had gone bust.

Hi, I’m planning to start in courier business and insurance is a massive headache. Not one company can insure me for courier business and small removals as i might be doing a bit of both.Is there is a company that would be able to do both ? So far all brokers I’ve got in touch with just not giving me proper answers. Thanks
