you can go to any police or sheriff department and they will make sure your infant seat is installed correctly. Also, once baby is in seat, make sure the handle is not upright.

Hi, I’m a car seat tech, this is actually a common myth. There are some departments that have CPST’s but not every one. Always call before and ask if they have a CPST, and never let anyone that’s not certified touch your seats! 😊

When they are driving though, the handle does need to be upright for safety to help protect baby in case of an accident.

When I was pregnant and ready to deliver, my nesting took the form of doing all the yard work, which I never did and sweeping the crap out of the driveway and a lot of other things...2 days later, I had my son!!

just an FIY - everyone seems to think they are nesting...nesting is a spontaneous thing that ocurrs close to the mother giving birth. It is not something you plan or do purposely...its natural instinct and it seems like you prepare for the baby preparing things for them when you get close to labor. You can only identify it by looking back and saying wow! I was wondering why I felt the need to ready the house for the baby all of a sudden!! I was nesting!! :) lol
