@SundayRoast, you need to correct the record about your and your guests' knowledge about Scotland. There are 650 UK conctituency seats. In the 2019 election even if all the - then 59 - Scottish seats had become Labour, it would not have stopped the Tory majority. In the 2024 election, there will be 543 seats in England, 57 seats in Scotland, 32 in Wales and 18 in Northern Ireland. Scotland has approximately one tenth of the seats that England has. It wouldn't matter if all Scottish seats became Labour, it won't make a blind bit of difference if England does not vote Labour!!! Also the assumptions that the SNP iis rubbish and that things are bad in Scotland, are completely false and highlights the general ignorance about Scotland south of the border.

Not a fan of BHM.. I do like Marcus but i dont think either of their opinions on Scotland hold much substance. If the tories and labour in England, were in a coalition, who would english people vote for? The Scottish government offer a lot more than Westminster does. Free prescriptions and education, mitigating the bedroom tax, capping council tax, ensuring children have a good start with baby boxes and child payments.. We do things different in Scotland.. Why should we risk losing all of this by voting for labour?

Trust me things for Scots are a hell of a lot better than they are for people in England. The SNP can't do their main reason for being because little England won't let us. Starmer will not ever get my vote i can assure you.

At 82 I was overjoyed to miss Conscription as my many friends, acquaintances and hundreds of workmates on the railways where I was a fireman. With one exception but against him two young men I knew had gone on the Lam to avoid conscription. The US military said a year or more ago the UK Armed forces are no longer a serious force. So under the Tories. Labour put 2.5% into our armed forces the Tories have cut that to 2% and under. This is what the Tories are covering up with this.

Oly is wrong to say Rees-Mogg is vulnerable to the Lib Dems. The major boundary changes in his seat means it is now a Labour Tory marginal with the Lib Dem's far behind. The crucial thing to ensure Mogg loses is for Lib Dem voters to vote tactically for Labour. I base this on the latest large MRP poll from YouGov that predicts each seat and its vote share for each party.

But aside from that,, the actual construction/renovation contract was just 155,000. So what in the hell type of service contracts cost 245,000. Then he intimates that the Labour Party are supporting industry in some unique way! How? By granting planning permission for private industry to build industrial outlets in the hope that they can sell them on or rent them out? NO. Did the Labour Council act differently to any other council in the UK in regards to granting planning permissions? NO !! Did they give an incentive of reducing the developers financial and infrastructural contribution to the council at a discounted per square foot price? NO they did not!!! Will that cost be passed on to future tenants ,, Absolutely !!!c But as he says so often when he is fact checked.. Its not an issue

The thing with the polls asking people wether they're left, right or centrist. Are those people that identify as centrist actually centrist. They need to also be questioned on what policies they like to see if their views match up with how they identify politically. I could see a lot of centrists actually being center left or left wing. I get called a hard left extremist online where i think i am somewhere between center left and hard left. Also people are complex, i have views which i consider center left and hard left with a tiny smattering of right wing thoughts. But i am also willing to compromise on some of my views (had to put that last part in because i keep on getting told that hard left purity testing extremists like me aren't willing to compromise on anything). The overton window has had a massive shift to the right in these last few years and i blame Starmer and his leadership cronies for that as much as the Tories. They turned hard right and Labour shuffled along that line with them until they became a centre right corporatist party that will throw us bones with a tiny little bit of meat so long as it doesn't overly effect their donors
