After two hard fought wins on the road playing Oxford at home must have felt like a stroll in the park and, to be fair, it was. Nine points in six days just shows that we have turned a corner from last season. You can see that the players have the feel good factor and togetherness, they believe in themselves and they have the crowd right behind them, for me, that is a winning formula, a championship winning formula. I'm going to enjoy what we have at the moment and yes, I think this is our year. C'mon Sunderland. HWTL.
Brilliant David, you could be right. We are a team transformed from last season. We look confident and that’s all credit to RLB and the staff. Let’s hope we can continue and build up a strong lead while we are playing well.
Wayne I said to my grandson today at the match that we’re going to be 10 points clear by Xmas These young players are getting better and better with every game I honestly believe this is our season to be promoted
If we keep playing like this we could very well be that far clear. Other teams are dropping points. We look strong and long may it continue in QPR next weekend.
Top drawer performance from top drawer players and top drawer head coach is all I need to say, anyone who can't see how comfortable that was today must be a Mag. Dan Neil back to what I expect from the captain and was great to see but I think Jobe was imperious today and Oxford couldn't live with him closely followed by Rigg and Neil, defence all solid and our forwards working their socks off is great to witness even though I wish Roberts would make his mind up about passing or shooting when the space is there. Two absolute belting goals was justification of the team performance with RLB conducting from the touchline cool as a cucumber. 🔴⚪👏👏👏👏
Class as usual John. The whole team were brilliant today. I gave Neil MOM just because of the stick he’s had (from me included) to put in a fantastic performance. I agree Jobe and Rigg were outstanding too. Let’s continue that next week at QPR! HWTL 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
@@onlyfoolsandsafcI can understand you're pleased with Neil today because he did have a good game but I'm afraid he's going to have to do it on a regular basis and learn to stop turning into trouble in dangerous areas before I'm fully convinced of his credentials as a top class player, he still has time to improve but he will reach his ultimate level before long if he's prepared to listen to the coaches and RLB. Forgot to say good blog Wayne so apologise for my lack of credit to all you do on our behalf 🔴⚪👋👋👋
@@johndublyoo2553 yes I agree one game does not make up for the poor performances so far. Hopefully he is learning the new role with each game and learns from his mistakes. Thank you for the kind words too John, really means a lot to know the videos are enjoyable 👍👍😃😃🔴⚪️
Fantastic win, every one of those players were immense but i agree neill was outstanding, wilson us fast becoming a Sunderland legend, 5 points clear at the top Leeds, Burnley Dropping points we aren't long way to go but we are a force to be reckoned with
@@onlyfoolsandsafc long way to go but we aren't dropping points which we may do but 5 points clear at the top gives us the position to do that but if we do that we will stay top
Great performance today, jobe gets my man of the match, he just didn’t stop.this is the year Wayne I’m sure 🙏 love to go to the QPR game next weekend but living down south just cannot get tickets, so if anyone can’t go and have 2 tickets, please let’s know , I only live an hour away from their ground. Haway the lads and so proud to be a Sunderland fan 👍👍 great video as always.
Cheers Mel, I hope someone can sort you tickets out as I’d love you to see us play there. Hopefully we can continue and get another 3pts. HWTL. Cheers mate! 🔴⚪️
5 games unbeaten, 3 wins in a row, clean sheet, 5 points clear at the top, I know it's still early but what a fantastic start to a season it's been, I might be wrong but I'm sure this is our best ever start to a season since 1895 in terms of 28 points from 12 games, got to give everybody involved with the club massive credit so far, are we actually top 2 contenders, I would like to say yes cos obviously the table doesn't lie but what I will say is if we're still in the top 2 come January then I will say we're top 2 contenders, what I will say though is I have no doubt we'll definitely finish in the top 6 this season, it definitely feels like something special could be happening this season, like I said it's still early but let's just take it 1 game at a time and enjoy it along the way 🔴⚪🔴⚪👍
Love the last point mate, take each game as it comes and like now have a plan for each team. 3 games this week against 3 different styles and we had a game-plan for each of them. RLB is tactically brilliant so far. 2 days rest now and back on it to prep for QPR next weekend.
Happy Days Wayne!!! the only criticism is we didn't score enough but with total domination still happy with the 3 points , Gr8 display by Dan Neil back to his best & what a player Wilson is FTM
Absolutely superb performance today and I thought there was little to choose between Dan and Jobe for MoM. With Dan Ballard and Mayenda due back soon things are looking good. Let's just hope Jobe, Hume and Rigg do not get booked in the same game though. Just wish Alese was fit but Regis thinks Hjelde has a lot to offer so who am I to argue? The guys have 2 days off now and deserve it. Isidor, what a bloke. Can we do it? Well let's see when the bad weather comes in and the pitches play up. Confident for the play-offs and quietly confident for the top two too. It'll be interesting to see how th big spenders go about business come January.
Great comments mate. I agree the midfield 3 were fantastic today. That will be test when we have a couple of injuries and suspensions to content with. They definitely deserve these 2 days before another 3 games in a week after QPR.
HI Wayne - It's definitely game on. We've got the best manager in league and our team is pretty much as good as Burnley, Leeds, Sheff Utd. We're also improving week on week with RLB's coaching and his tactics/strategy give us an advantage + we'll get better as time goes on. Great performance today given 3 games in 6 days with a very tough midweek - Luton went full on against us and fell off a cliff against Coventry today in second half while we cruised a 2-0. win. We'll be OK barring injury crisis and I believe KLD will back RLB in winter window if needed. Let's enjoy it. On a separate note - any idea why SAFC website now has a blue theme? It looks very odd. Cheers. Jim
Hi Jim, great comments mate. We have the potential to do great things this season. RLB has transformed us in a few short months. The blue logo is for Founders Week, celebrating the 145th year of our history. Hence all the retro influence in the club this week.
Ho Stephen, definitely making up for last season, tough to compare against that side as they were brilliant for a few seasons. Finishing 7th in the Premier is some achievement. We have the makings of a cracking side though.
