Thanks Ross, A really nice review of our fan unit SR 500 and the face shield SR 570. I hope you had and will get much use for it, and as you say the best PPE is the one you use.

I'm an asbestos surveyor&analyst and we go into live enclosures all the time without knowing if the air quality is safe or not and we are expected just to use a half face mask for up to long periods of time. Obviously companies won't buy expensive stuff like this unless regs force them to so I'm honestly just thinking of biting the bullet and buying one of the out of my own money and it might just stop me from dying from mesothelioma age 50 or something. Thanks for the video mate!

Hi Jack, hope the video offers some help in what I have found out about the kit. Speak to Sundstrom bud, and get any suitable advice regarding asbestos and filters etc…. This is a fab bit of kit, and I know plenty of mates who have purchased them 👍

No probs bud👍 yes it’s the first and only one, after I’ve used it for a while… had the s as me one for a few years now. Still absolutely brilliant and also the battery life is still the same… couldn’t be happier with it👍 how u getting in with yours bud

@@completepreservation just got it today so im doing some research. Im not a big fan of a fullface setup when using paint because it blocks the view so quick. But, I've got a bunch of tare aways to use also. I'll be doing some lacquer and conversion varnish real soon and will put it to the test.

I’ve used this mask for the last 6 years and love it. I’m a stonemason and can recommend this,after years of using shit masks . My only bug bear is how much some of the replacement parts are . I mean come on £200-£300 for a new battery that costs £10 max.

Completely agree these masks are the next level. Makes me laugh about how much money tradesman go on about how much they earn with no consideration of buying a decent mask cost they cost more than a disposable initially! I’m pretty sure i paid half of that for a battery bud. Have a word with the reps, I’ve found them brilliant 👍

Nice review! I'm a big fan of the Sundstrom line and own a couple of their half-face respirators. Question is: if you are still using this kit for your construction related work? And how is it holding up 6, 8, 10 months later?? Any other feedback which could go on the Con list? For instance, how about fan noise in the ear after a couple hours? Do you e.g., tend to wear ear plugs too?

Thanks Don! Still using it bud. No issues with it either 👍 I do use ear defenders, when I have a noisy task, as you would expect 👍

I've had mine for 3 years now. Used it hundreds of hundres of times. Still works perfectly. Batterylife has decreased maybe 30 minutes total, but i keep a spare battery always. Take good care of it, and it will take good care of you.
