Visited Sundsvall for the first time in my life last year and instantly fell in love with this beautiful place! Have been to about 30 countries in the world - if I had to choose a place to live, I'd choose Sundsvall.
I agree. I have yet to find any small sized city that is as diverse as Sundsvall. Its perfect for City dwellers as well as for the outdorsy person. It has so much to offer. Pristine nature and modernity all in one package
@@Funkywallot I think the reason for that is because of the location. It's right in the center of Sweden by the coast, and serves as a connection to the rest of northern Sweden from the south. It has historically been supported by big amounts of industry and economic activity. It's also completely surrounded by pretty rough terrain, vast forests and hills, and there are no town at the same size for at least around 200 km. This also means that the city can't really grow to become really big since it's held back by the surrounding landscape. To sum it up, it's a very important city when it comes to commerce, industry and general geographic location, but is smaller than what you would assume a town/city of such importance would be because of the landscape it's located at
been lucky enough to visit this lovely city 3 times. Sundsvall the Capital of North is beautiful place to visit. people are super friendly and very tolerant compare to other city. I m planing to move there in 2020 hopefully things go well.
Hi Swedrone! We've recently interviewed a Swedish RU-vidr and he lives in Sundsvall. Would it be okay if we use this footage when he's talking about the city? We will link your video in the description.
It's so cold and boring beileve me you'll get depressed... Approximately 3 months without sunlight and temperatures plummet _25 c att winter time and the summer is very short in Sundsvall unlike Malmö or Gothenburg.
@@dav9993 that depends on what you do with you time. I mean you can't get up at 11:00 AM and expect to enjoy a long day. Get up at 06:00 and go do something outside. I mean there's tons of stuff you can do in Norrland and Lappland all year round.
@@dav9993 Its very rare with so cold temperatures. Normal wintertemperature nowdays is between 0 and -10 degrees. No months without sunlight but only a few hours when sun is up espacially in november and december. On the otrher hand 22 hours when suns up during summer.
