@@nanascraftyhome Hi, I love this stitch! I'm planning to make a headband out of it for my daughter as well. Could you please tell what was the final length of the piece you made here? That would be really helpful to decide the length adjustments I would need to do myself. Thanks, Moulisree.

I love this video and pattern. Any recommendations on how many chains in my foundation row I should use if I plan on doing just this one strip as a scarf for someone who is 6’2”?
@nanascraftyhome
@nanascraftyhome 3 года назад
I am so glad you like it! There are a few things to consider when designing a scarf. What weight of yarn will you be using and how long do you want your finished scarf to be? Does the recipient like longer scarves (long enough to wrap) or waist length, etc. Once the finished length is decided upon, find the yarn you would like to use. Work up a gauge swatch using that yarn and then determine your beginning chain based on that swatch. I hope that helps! 😊❤️

I'm currently making your Autumn Rhapsody stitch sampler blanket and am on Row 11. In the pattern, it says to sc 5 before starting the sunflower center, but in this video you say to sc 6 before starting the center. Which one is correct? Thank you 😊
@nanascraftyhome
@nanascraftyhome 2 месяца назад
Happy to help! The video tutorials were meant to be able to take the stitch to other projects easily - with the appropriate stitch multiples. For the Autumn Rhapsody blanket you would want to follow the instructions provided for that pattern specifically. I hope that helps!

Tonya how do you attach these with similar straps to others and make an Afghan
@nanascraftyhome
@nanascraftyhome 2 года назад
So I would just incorporate into a large project by just working rows of desired stitches between areas of sunflowers. I incorporated into my Autumn Rhapsody Blanket you can see it here: nanascraftyhome.com/stitch-sampler-autumn-rhapsody-blanket-cal-announcement-free-crochet-pattern/ I hope that helps! 😊🌻

How long do you do it to make a blanket? Also instructions to give the recipient that is getting the blanket? That you for your advice!! Looking forward to seeing more videos! Again a great teaching experience!
@nanascraftyhome
@nanascraftyhome 4 года назад
Well, it depends on the size blanket you want in the end. Here is a link to an article about typical blanket sizes that may help: easycrochet.com/blanket-sizes-chart/. As far as instructions for the recipient that would depend on the type of yarn you will end up using. You will want to include instructions for washing/drying that particular yarn which you can find on the yarn label. If you are using cotton you could give instructions to block at the end but I would suggest tacking down flower petals so they won't have to block to achieve a nice look with the sunflowers after washing the blanket. I hope that helps!

My niece loves sunflowers and I want to make a whole blanket for her but want to spread out the flowers more that 11 stitches apart. How would I adjust the placement of them? Thank you!
@nanascraftyhome
@nanascraftyhome 4 года назад
A blanket of sunflowers sounds beautiful! You could easily adjust the flowers to being double the amount of stitches apart and use the same stitch multiple. Basically, have sunflowers every 24 stitches instead of every 12. Skip 23 stitches and work your sunflower in the 24th stitch. This would give a good amount of space between flowers. I hope that helps!

Apologies for all the emails...What other color do you suggestion for the main blanket as I am not crazy about green...thanks so much!
@nanascraftyhome
@nanascraftyhome 4 года назад
@@barbaracohen429 I would recommend that - I think the sides of the blanket may look a little empty if you skip 23 at the beginning. By following my pattern I would change up your blanket multiples to the following: stitch worked in multiples of 24 + 13 + 2. You would work your first sunflower in the 7th stitch (6 sc stitches before your 1st sunflower and 6 sc stitches after the last sunflower of the row). I hope that helps!
